Hey Zyonik, just wanted to come on here and say I appreciate all of your videos. The way you do your play by plays has actually helped me get a lot better at playing strategically and I’ve been winning more of my matchups because of you. THANK GOD ABOUT THE CATCH CUP!!! The previous season, I was at the edge of reaching legend. Stupid catch cup made me lose 200 ELO. By the end of the season I could only recover into the 2800's... =/

@@itzmatos This season I stopped playing the week of catch cup. And I just got to 2970. I hope that by tomorrow I can reach legend. If Niantic reacted earlier, I would already reached legend. Theme cups should be completely optional, and GL should be available always. I really struggle when thematic cups are paired with Master League.

They need to fix the stupid “sorry error 6 occurred” which matches me up with a good lead then errors me out then gets back into a bad lead and all counters after. Just so annoying. Also they need to give the option to deny the prizes just in case some folk don’t got enough space. Also please update the chances to get a legendary if we’re using a premium pass because it’s basically as if I’m raiding but harders since I actually have to win 3 games to get a mystery encounter. Tired of the common stuff like falinks and Merrill and grubbins. Just my opinion

These same people are allowing biome glitches, DRE, took denials out (skill), have an algorithm not solely passed on elo, make move changes/buffs without consulting their player base, and people who don’t want you to play their game (insert 90% there’s no events, no battles, and no raids). These people do not like us, they don’t even like our shared interest in pokemon go. We are simply data and willful sheep in their own interests and until we start reporting their business for malpractice and false advertisement the longer they will continue to not care.

@@itzmatos Can you prove it? No you can’t. Just like I can’t. If it was a “real” Elo system there wouldn’t be queue times, rather a bonus (lower Elo player) or, a negative Elo effect (higher Elo player). Why is the game taking 2-3 minutes to find a game when there’s “millions” of players? You don’t think this game can run sims and find potentially close games? Foolish if you don’t think so. Doesn’t mean it’s directly choosing who wins or loses, but it’s making artificially close/good games. And again if there was no elo system, players should easily be able to queue up and hit 75-80% win/lose for an entire season. (World champions/very high tier players) but even the best struggle to try and break and consistently hold 60%.

Idk, I feel like the only people that have a right to be sick of a company are competitors, content creators and those with stock in the company. Why? because as consumers we have tons of options and these are NOT essential life things. You have an option to quit, take breaks, switch to a new game, save your money, email, protest, boycott or play within your means of the game. Pogo is playable, but if you want to play free to play and battle and have a fun still, your options are limited but still fun if you enjoy battling or events. For me personally, I quit Pogo like 3 years ago. I was playing since the first week it launched, took a year break, came back for a few. I battle heavy AND grind in New York. For me in the long run it's a waste of time and money, so I quit. If you take the game 100% serious, it's a time and money sink to hard grind and battle. I don't make content or play in tournaments or such so there was no reward for that for me. The money and time I spent on pogo, now goes towards a business, and resources. It's the same thing with gaming as a whole. If you play something like Call of Duty, in 2024, if you're spending 5-8 hours a day playing a game and not being paid something, you're just burning time and money. even if you make $100 a week only uploading vids to Social media, that $70 game and $400 a month pays for the game itself and the hours are justified even at that low amount of cash per year for that hobby. It doesn't make sense to just play games hardcore anymore unless you REALLY enjoy it and find the balance between fun but not sinking too much time. I watch POGO vids for entertainment now.

I’m no pro but before catch cup I was around 2350 and thinking I might make the push to the next level. Then catch cup knocked me down more than 450 points. It hurt so I agree, not being locked into catch cup at the end is great. And yeah, I could devote more time to “git good” but like most people, I have a full time job and a family. So I incrementally work my way up. I can’t count moves and frankly, I just want to slowly improve and don’t mind working my way up 3/5 at a time. Catch cup just hurt! PS: You’ve helped me so much! I thank you from the bottom of my heart for doing the leg work to find and test good teams 🙏.

Can someon please adress this issue/lag or whatever it is. Sometimes, more oftenly first battle when I open the game, fast moves take double turns to get energy for a charge move. It can happen somwhere in the middle of the set. But it's so annoying to lose a battle when I see the team I'm up against, whis I hard core break. I've tryed being on a wifi, battery fully charged and battleing in the morning so that the phine is not overheating and it still happens. Annyone experieenced it? Thank you very much in advence for an answer.

The peak laziness isn't the move updates, it's the leagues. Agree with not updating moves much to not affect play pokemon championship but this Gl, UL, ML, all combo where they double week a repeat GL cup during UL and ML is just stale. So fine the game is stale because they can't update the moves but they can updates leagues and try to make it interesting, but they just don't care so they put very little effort into thinking of anything creative.

There needs to be a full blown combat system rework because the problem is we do not have any effects bar buffs debuffs and normal damage moves. Nothing fixes it at this point like Pokemon as a whole and the only solution is to move to Arknights or something.

What changes would you make to the GBL to improve it? Honestly, I think you and the other KZbinrs/content creators are about the only way to get a message across to Niantic at this point, as it's clear they generally have disdain towards their player base and the opinions within, so I'd love to see a further, larger critique from you and others on how they could actually implement something new or different to improve it and freshen it up a considerable bit. I know what I would do, but I'm merely a peon, not worthy of the great corporate overlords time. They'd gladly take my money though if I offered it to them, so I guess their priorities are quite clear...

Two thoughts: 1. I have seen one Medicham and one G Fisk all season, while Gligar is found on just about every other team. I know I’m in higher elo (2500+) but I have a very difficult time buying that lower elo is the reverse. I cannot be convinced that Medi and G Fisk are truly in the top used mons. 2. The legend poses are getting more boring every season. I know they can’t all be Leon, but gimme a break - lifting arms up? I am not motivated to trudge my way to legend for THAT.

The move updates are pretty lame, but I get your explanation! I just really hope they fix the lag and bugs currently ruining the game. It got really bad after the biome updates etc. I haven't played since, because nearly every game lagged or bugged out (dropped 100 elo due lag and bugs from 2980.. Thanks Niantic 🙃)

I would love to agree with you about the small changes being due to World's, but they've shown in the past this isn't actually always a concern. For instance in VGC last year they made World's the first official tournament for an entirely new ruleset (Regulation D).

I honestly wish they'd do more specialty cups with Ultra League. I didn't mind Fantasy cup for Ultra League, but I actually want to see Weather Cup in the Ultra League again. It's what allowed me to finish building Shadow Piloswine which did great in it. This is Niantic's most laziest update to PvP yet, still no Gligar bans, adding Thunder Punch on such mons (especially Goodra, for June 2024's Community Day), Scald's Attack lower chance decreased, but still is decent, and why Swift? The only drop we get is Lanturn because of Spark All I have to say is Yeesh.... Here's what I would add to PvP: Increase Extrasensory's power to 9 Increase Hex's Power to 7 Increase Energy for Disarming Voice to 50 Decrease Energy for Dragon Pulse to 50 Shadow Force and Seed Flare Energy Decrease to 65 Twister to now lower Defense by 1 stage and Power up to 50 Psybeam Energy Decrease to 50 Add Seed Bomb for Jumpluff, Simisage, and Maractus Add Earth Power for Venusaur Add Surf on Seismitoad Add Rock Slide on Steelix, Tyrantrum, and Aurorus Add Psybeam on Alakazam, Reuniclus, and Beheeyem

I’m cautious optimistic I’ll have a good time next season? I enjoy playing Whimsicott, it got buffed a little. I enjoy my shadow Empoleon and lo, it plays in all the limited meta cups. I hit Expert for the first time this season, so I’m hoping next season I’ll get that legend rank.

Lack of confirmation of xl trades is annoying too. Goomy cd is nice but Thunder punch is underwhelming for CD. Can hundo hunt and grab xl for it. Had a rank 1 UL i caught randomly that i have saved and it eansr worth it haha. I dont grind GBL anyway just do my ranking. Cyndaquil classic cd is ok but wanted beldum lol. Update: no catch cup solely for a week will be great

You can 100% see the great league remix is the same as last season but with defence deoxys, umbreon, registeel and clodsire straight swapped for dewgong, feraligatr, cresselia and annihilape. There's no way that's data driven they've just swapped 4 for things people complained weren't banned last season, otherwise gligar would be gone.

I think the cups for this coming season look good, but I think the reason why the moveset update seems more 'meh' than usual is that I personally feel that there hasn't been much excitement in the game in a while. In the past, the move pool update for the new season could be exciting if the game was in a lull overall, or if the game was exciting during the move update, then I might not mind as much if the changes weren't big. Just feels to me like nothing new or exciting has been happening in the game for a while, but I do understand the need to stabilize the meta for World's.

About half of the top 50 rankings are water types. A more aggressive electric, ice, and grass moves spread could have balanced things out. Overall the mobe update is mid.

Ive been losing so many matches because somehow my opponent is always able to use a charge attack before me…. I always enjoy the game until i reach around rank 14 in a season then after that the season is always unplayable. Too many people have too many good teams. And as someone who actually plays the game how its intended & not just tossing money into the game to unlock everything takes soooo long to do. You can spend 200 candy on a pokemon but you will need 20 fn charged TMs to get the right attacks its a stupid system that should of been fixed a long time ago. I don’t understand why its so hard to make a game & actually allow players to enjoy the game without having to throw money into it. Shit at this rate i wont be able to play high ranked players for a long time because everything takes way too much effort & then by the time you get to that point you need to put way too much effort somewhere else. The game is pretty much unplayable in battle leagues lol & these creators showing the best teams every week are only making the whole things worse.

Catch cup would be cool if they actually introduced new moves for Pokemon that we don’t already have built. Instead it’s just a complete waste of resources.

Imo niantic actually made a lot of changes people have been asking for. The premier cups were received super well last season. Catch cup definitely wasn’t. Mono cups definitely haven’t been. Definitely seems like a more vanilla season though.

not related to changes being made this coming season but i wish they’d revert the breaking swipe nerf because it helped so many mons like heliolisk and rayquaza. i wish they’d just take it away from steelix because it never needed that move and it kinda ruined breaking swipe for everyone else
