That on the go live no latency audio processing, rather then the voicemeeter software, is a huge plus for me,, so much that it justifies this 500 dollar purchase I plan to invest on soon.

Honestly this mixer should have included the audio mini jack so audio sources for DJs etc can connect with a stereo signal directly. Hoping someone can see the need for this and include it

nice review. the one thing that its missing is a software for streaming capabilities i.e something like the GoXLR which has a Mic, Chat, Music, Game, Console, Line in, Line out, System and Sample virtual audio control which can be applied to any of the 4 faders on the device. if Rode had that on this device it would be THE perfect device for majority of cases.

I wish they had a good onboard noise supressor on the processing. That is the only thing I think it’s missing if the idea is being an all in solution
@creativegreatsvisuals Жыл бұрын
does the rodecaster pro 2 have that feature ?
@BerserkeR_031 Жыл бұрын
This is what I'm currently researching... I have no idea if this product has a downward expander, attenuating low background noise even further. To be used in combination with all of the other processes in the signal chain, compressor, noise gate, de-esser, etc... If it doesn't have a downward expander the listener will keep hearing background noise every time the noise gate opens. This is kind of a deal breaker...

One thing that stops me from upgrading is the lack of line-in without sacrificing mic inputs. I would love to have usb to 3.5mm adapter for those cases when you need an additional analog signal.
@lyianx Жыл бұрын
This is my hangup as well. Lack of non-mic analogue inputs. granted, i can very likely get away with using the 2nd mic input for this and it wont be that big a deal. but still, would have been nice to have an Analogue Line-in port on the back.

USB mics don't work natively with the Rodecaster products - if your USB mic has a 3.5mm Line/headphone out, you could potentially use that to send an analog signal to one of the Rodecaster Duo's inputs using an adapter like the VXLR or a 3.5mm to 1/4" adapter, assuming the mic can power itself.

Awesome review. You have a lot of echo in your studio. Your Shure SM7B seems to handle it very well while the wireless Rode mics were struggling. Is there any in-build software in Rodecaster DUO to heavily reduce echo? I'm normally using the echo remover plugin from Crumple Pop in post - but it isn't great and it often crashes - and it is of no use for live streaming.

Hey I had the RODECaster Pro II and have since swapped it out for the RODECaster Duo so I can weigh in here. Unfortunately neither device has any onboard processing effect capable of reducing or suppressing microphone echo.

Just a smaller version with less mic input and less smart pads. Also a key difference is the duo doesn’t have a physical record button and instead has a digital one on the touch screen.
