These guys have been around since the early 70's,but this album (Eliminator) was probably one of their biggest successes. BTW, their music from the 70's was 🔥.

ZZ Top is a special mix of rock and roll and blues. They were really hot in the 80's. Lot's of fun songs.

Definitely. How many girls can get out of one clown car, anyway? And the song was early 80s. I was in HS.

I got to see them in concert at the Hampton coliseum first concert I ever been to where they had laser lights it was called The eliminator to work and they came out I think in the early seventies I mean the early eighties I'm sorry. Because I seen them in 85 or 84, so it may have been late 70s when they came out. Kick-Ass reaction❤ watching from Virginia USA

the Eliminator album was released in 1983. I was a senior in high school at the time, and I have listened to it ever since! Eliminator was the name of the car, too. In an interview, Billy Gibbons (lead singer/guitarist) was asked about the idea behind their iconic beards. he said, "Laziness!" then he went on to explain that during their early years going back to the late 1960's they were on the road a LOT, trying to make a name for themselves, and Billy and Dusty Hill (bass player... RIP Dusty😭) just plainly didn't feel like shaving, and it became their iconic look going into the 70's. once they were asked by a razor manufacturer to do a commercial and shave off their beards. they were offered a lot of money for that commercial. ZZ Top said, "NOPE!"😆

So many great songs by ZZ Top, some of my favs are 'Legs' (1984), 'La Grange' (1973), and 'Sharp Dressed Man' (1983). Incidentally, loved your reaction to the live version of 'Ghost Love Score', Wacken 2013, from one of my favourite bands, Nightwish! I would certainly recommend another couple of great songs from that concert - 'Storytime' and 'Romanticide'. I would also recommend the live version of the Nightwish cover of the Pink Floyd song 'High Hopes', with the vocals of Marko Hietala, it is superb! It's from the 'End of an Era' concert in Helsinki, 2005.

They leaned heavy on double entendre. Even in the song titles- Pearl Necklace and Tube Snake Boogie just for starters.
