Hi Mick, beautiful colour and a beautiful finish from the clearcoat which went on very flat and glassy, I do like the candy reds more so than the pearl 3 stage colours I think my fav is the 46V Soul Red Crystal👌 It's great to see another video from you brother as it's been a while since your last upload, love to see more when you can Mick👏🙏👍John UK

Like your content man although it’s hard to hear you sometimes. I sprayed spies and glasurit solvent for about 12 years. For almost 2 years I have been doing mostly body work at a shop that sprays sikkens autowave waterborne. The painter is going on vacation so I will be painting next week. I’ve sprayed here probably 10 times or so thankfully with no problems but I know I will run in to something sooner or later. If you have any tips for me on the water base I’d greatly appreciate it. Is there a wet bed I can use? Any tips on the sikkens line in general would be great to know too.

I prefer this method it's slightly different from Axalta but it's easier and less complicated, Well done and nice finish also nice smooth transition. Hoping to see you do a 46v

It was very difficult to hear your voice due to the mask and vent noise in the background. You should have did a voice over after finishing this video. I did hear you state you are going to blend? Looks like you did a total paint-over. No blending. Sorry, this video did nothing for me....

It was 2 1/2. Some silvers do not always cover the best. The first 2 passes were for coverage. The last was a drop coat.

I think you're talking about his wet bed gun. We spray it in our blend areas to basically make our color atomize better for a smoother looking blend. The wet bed itself is pretty much transparent so it doesn't leave anything behind when it flashes off

Hello, _roughly_ what do you think it would cost to paint a 06 Subaru STI in World Rally Blue Mica (code 02C)? Exterior only(no engine bay) I was quoted 16K by one shop but that seemed a bit high. Do you think that's correct or is there a smaller ballpark figure that would be more reasonable?

That will never match, unless you put whatever was on the fender, on the door under the silver. I have painted for 28 yrs. 3 yrs with axalta. All paint needs the same color under the basecoat on each panel.

Not a good demo at all. Your 1/4 had sealer and blend panel did not. Mistake right there. Then you wet bed the blend panel and blend the door with a 1:1 color/clear base and get color all the way to the front of the door. If that car matches when assembled. You got lucky. You are showing bad habits. Outside. The 1/4 wont match the blend panel and the blend panel won't match the front door. Unless you get lucky. I doubt the trunk or bumper will match either. You always need the correct G base formula under all new panels for Proper coverage. Even on the blend panels. Again. You may get lucky but it's bad habits and you will run into problems
