Some say one of his descendants survives on in London where he rides a battered old mini and wields a brown teddy bear😅

My English sister in law was in Glasgow for work one time and sent me a picture of him having a cone removed, asking me what was going on. I told her to go back after her meeting and less than an hour later he had one back on... gallus

Good to see that Mr Rattray has finally been unveiled. My late parents in law lived just yards away from this spot. For a long, long time the statue was in place but surrounded by high fencing while the location became more and more overgrown. Looks great now so it was clearly worth the wait!

One has to wonder. Were the ancient Scot's wives always pissed off with their husbands for two days after a round of Golf? Or is that just more of a modern tradition?

Some attractive ladies are drawn to the masculine appearance of Scotsmen clothed in kilt outfits at social events in USA and wish to have photographs of themselves in mild embrace with Clansmen. I feel very fortunate as a man of Kerr and Hall Clans ancestry to have that happen multiple times.

@@scotlandunplugged I don't remember if those were available at the course. It was a small town with a big golf course. Whatever I tried nothing worked or I sucked at it or both.

Very cool! Golfers are usually fairly dedicated to their sport, which I guess from your presentation, is a grand tradition. It's a shame that politics and war had to interfere with the evolution of such a pastoral sport! Another great video! Thanks for this!
