The slo-mo replay on that first one...watching the ump get drilled right in the kneecap had me grabbing my own knee. Ouch. 😖

It was always fun watching Beltre play in Arlington. A great player with a great sense of humor. Very much a bummer when he retired.

I’ll never forget a guy named Reggie Abercrombie hit one at Cincinnati to left so far that it landed about 4 or 5 rows short of clearing the entire stadium. Maybe 2004?

Some people don't keep track of umps through each season and it shows. Umps have a collective 94% accuracy rating on calls for the 2024 season up to this point. Umpire score cards are posted every game as well to the public. Umpires are graded every game on how they control, call, and preserve the game through the whole nine innings. The better teh score card is at the end of the season determines which umps go to the post season.

People that hate the unwritten rules of baseball forget that baseball was a gentleman's sport. Taking a bow, tipping a cap, etc. It's not played by gentlemen anymore but remnants of the old culture echo.

I am a Braves fan and a couple of years ago they were linked to possibly signing him. I was wishing they wouldn’t. He literally gets upset about everything.

To their defense, at least half of these were due to the sun. Anyone who has played baseball knows that a very high fly ball with a very bright sun makes it nearly impossible.
