im a beginner And i bought this crochet kit, it comes with a book, enough yarn to make 2 animals and some stuffing. I said crocheting is easier than knitting but now im curled up in the corner of my room crying, people say this isnt good for beginners but this is the ONLY circle needed for the turtle animal😢

I am starting crocheting but this tutorial sucks because I still cannot figure out how to do the “simple” slip knot. I have tried 15 times and still cannot figure it out.

... so the first shape, any idea how to get a 18" circle knitted without starting from the center? I do not want to do this in the round, just decreasing and increasing for a carry-bag bottom/ with no center hole.

okay so I wish I saw that video earlier because I tried making this stuffed animal and I didn't really follow a tutorial on crochet before (since my mom reached me a while ago but I probably forgot) and went directly onto the stuffed animal tutorial. basically, I made this mistake (not only once) and had to remake my stuffed animal's head like three times because it's head was way too big😭😭 after some common sense came back to me I decided to watch a tutorial on how to make magic loops, increase/decrease stitches and all and now my stuffed animal's head is actually looking like something 😂😭

I jut finished this course and oh my God! You are an amazing teacher. You really made this seem so easy but more than that, the motivation and reassurance that even if we mess up, its fine, is something that kept me going. I wish I could thank you in person and tell you what a great human and teacher you are. You are my first crochet teacher and anything and everything I make, will always be partly dedicated to you. Thank you! May God bless you and your family! Sending lots of love!!!

For your support stitch in beginning that combines both ends to make a circle...are you going into the middle of the top of the chain 3, or are you going underneath it before you yarn over? I always thought a slip stitch went under the stitch, but this looks like you're going through the middle of the stitch. I've already pulled my work out three times because I keep getting off my stitch count, or I goof up a stitch. Now, I'm scrutinizing every step. I'm determined. 😁 Thank you! 🥰

As an extreme beginner I have discovered that I am a loose tension crocheter and I've been struggling with maintaining my grip on the yarn. This tutorial is going to make it so much easier to practice! Thank you so much for this!
@minoena8 күн бұрын
i stopped here 7:33 bc either my yarn is too big (i don’t think so, it’s a 4) my hook is too bag (don’t think so, it’s 5mm) or maybe my tension is too loose? not sure but at this point it made a perfect and very beautiful coaster, i just did a slip stitch & put a knot in it (sry im new and it doesn’t make me feel secure otherwise 😂) it’s super cute. my tension was at least consistent this time and i did it first try
