Gdaty from Australia. ☺ I just purchased this cute pattern, but have made some adjustments along the way to personalize the bees. I've made 4 smaller bees, and one inn the original way, with a flower for a crown, for the queen. They have come out so cute! Thank you for your help with this project.

My grandchildren will love this! The youngest (nearly 3) looks to put things in pockets, etc. He would love the hive so he could stuff the bees in it! Great tutorial!!

I’m curious why do you flip it inside out after the second row?
@belantww2 жыл бұрын
Hopefully, you won’t mind if I answer this for you. First of all, it’s much easier to work with your active stitches closer to you when working in the round. Secondly, when you are working in the round, the side that is facing you as you work is the “right” side of the work. So basically, if you don’t flip the work inside out, the side that’s going to be on the outside is the “wrong” side, which isn’t as aesthetically pleasing as the right side. Of course, if you prefer how the wrong side looks, then it’s always your choice as to which side to have facing out. Hope this helps!

This was so helpful, I wish I watched it before I made my first bee! Did you do a tutorial for the beehive? Mine came out really wonky, and I'd like to figure out what I did wrong.

I used to think the plural for octopus was octupi as well, but it's actually octopuses. That's because some words are Latin based and some Greek based.
