How to Crochet a BEE AMIGURUMI | Free Crochet Pattern + Crochet Design Process

Today we're going to learn how to crochet a BEE AMIGURUMI! I was challenged to design an amigurumi crochet toy using Hobbii's Amigo Giga yarn and came up with this really fun amigurumi bumblebee! In today's video I was share what the challenge was, my crochet design process, and then I will share how to crochet a bee.
Crochet bees became pretty popular after the famous tiktok bee pattern! While I won't be sharing how to crochet that specific tiktok bee tutorial, this crochet bee pattern is SO fun and SO easy. Plus it's a great crochet toy for kids.
If you have never made amigurumi before, this crochet bee tutorial is beginner friendly. It is a great first amigurumi for beginners. This crochet bumblebee is a quick crochet project that you can make in just 30 minutes.

Hopefully, you won’t mind if I answer this for you. First of all, it’s much easier to work with your active stitches closer to you when working in the round. Secondly, when you are working in the round, the side that is facing you as you work is the “right” side of the work. So basically, if you don’t flip the work inside out, the side that’s going to be on the outside is the “wrong” side, which isn’t as aesthetically pleasing as the right side. Of course, if you prefer how the wrong side looks, then it’s always your choice as to which side to have facing out. Hope this helps!

I wasn’t paying a tension to where I was putting my wings in one bee I made from a different tutorial and the wings ended up on the side of the bee not the top 🫠🤗😅🤣🤪🐝 so it’s not far off… and I’m a beginner! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
