Hallelujah! Finally a pattern I can follow. I have restarted three times a prayer shawl for my sister who just lost her son and failed every time; nothing looked right with the bulky yarn. This will be perfect! I think I could do it in my sleep and in my grief. Thank you so much!

Thank you so much for taking your time and effort to make this wonderful video. A few years ago when my husband was diagnosed with prostate cancer, it was some videos like this one of yours that helped me learn how to crochet. Absolutely saved my sanity! I loved your video, and I'm going to get my hooks out today so that I can get started with this scarf. I'm looking forward to see what you do next - thanks again for posting this.

I prefer to make rectangular shawls. This one is very pretty and quite simple too. I will definitely be making this one! I'm still on the fence about this yarn. I like the idea of it, but, I think it's a little pricey. I made a scarf with one and it came out very nice. Anyway, thank you so much for sharing this pattern! Can't wait to see what else you have to offer! 🙂
@SigoniMacaroni3 жыл бұрын
Absolutely! I agree about the yarn, I was surprised it took 3 skeins to make this shawl. I was thinking it would only take 2. But either way I love how it ended up! Also, earlier today I saw that it’s on sale at Joann Fabrics if you do want to make it with this yarn! But if you don’t, this is a bulky weight yarn so any other bulky weight should do the trick 😊

I just started crocheting a couple months ago. Your scarf was when I learned how to DC. You tutorial is wonderful. I had no problems completing my scarf. Since it is 110 degrees in Texas right now, I don't really need the scarf, so I wanted to see if I could transform it into a cuddle blanket for the winter. I was wondering if it would be possible to create another scarf and connect them on the sides. Any suggestions?

Thank you! I’m so glad you enjoyed it. You can absolutely make a border. I don’t know why but I’m just not a huge border person, I never add borders on anything 😅 but that’s just me! When it comes to this shawl though, just remember that if you add a border you may half to pull back a few rows which will shorten the length slightly. Just because I used almost every last bit of my 3 skeins to make this.

Why not calculate how many stitches each color creates then adjust stitches per row and number of rows to keep the change of color at end of row or at least minimize the tail to normal tail for each color. How about counting the stitches for each color as it appears while crocheting and just let us know what it is as a note on the video or in the video description.
@SigoniMacaroni3 жыл бұрын
Because every skein is different and all crocheters gauge/tension is different as well. So the number of stitches I have could be different than yours. Plus that sounds WAY more complicated than it should be.

You missed out on lots of winter sales by only pushing Christmas and forgetting all the other cultural winter holidays, like Divali, Kwanza with lots of beautiful colors, and Hanukkah with blue and white, and all of these have the golden glow of candle light. Maybe next year you can include these for extra sales and profits. You have almost a year to learn and plan!!!

Why did you comment? If it's exclusive to her then so be it! Such a negative Nancy sheesh!
@leslieroberts47673 жыл бұрын
Aside from a so simple stitch pattern, this whole video is just product placement blatant advertising for for your monetary kickback. Yet nice tutorial on how to use the winder and this new weird yarn, including warnings. How many paid product promotions can you fit into one "tutorial"?
@SigoniMacaroni3 жыл бұрын
🤣 I’m sorry, what? The only products I’m promoting are the products I’m actually using for the tutorial. This video is not sponsored by anyone and this pattern was specifically designed for beginners so they can make something beautiful without feeling like it has to be complicated. Thanks for the laugh Leslie, I appreciate you supporting my channel with this silly comment.
@nancyduggan2883 жыл бұрын
Hey Leslie, why all the snark? This channel provides a simple crochet pattern for beginners and you launch a rant about holidays across the cultural and religious spectrum that were't represented. Make the pattern in the colors of each holiday you feel has been slighted, if this issue troubles you so much and let the rest of us enjoy this lovely channel in peace. And who cares if specific products are discussed or not? The pattern is clearly explained which seems to be the point of the tutorial after all. As an absolute beginner I'm just so glad to have found a pattern that I can understand and follow. your obvious need to criticize.
