The root of Canon. A prescriptive parsing for how to read the narrative of any given set. Yet a long time ago, you published a video titled Darmankaya and the 8 fold path. Very helpful in analyzing not just which books I read but how to see myself reading them. But we live in a world driven by narrative. There are applications and aspects that we can grasp at a minute and granular level, supposedly devoid of external ungrounded plots. It takes humility to allow the granular properties and the grounded math to reach into the sacred and the profane. I don't know if I'm there or if there is a place, but this is the way.

disanthropcentric xenosentience - Wowzers! that correlates with what a bud referred to years ago when he asked why I was still taking marching orders from the dupe of my own credulity. He got the benefit of the doubt. I figured since my exegetic standards were conscripting my dramaturgic choices they were due for an update. Thanks for the help. Cheers1

Code switching to expressions both near and dear takes a degree of courage to initiate. Finding out how to navigate a shared compliment of meanings can feel like charades. The transjective nature of these conversations are a bit like a song, in that the notes played are just as much a part of it as the negative spaces between each sound. On playgrounds children play jump rope. They are governed by both the rules of the school, as well as the unspoken rules of initiation. To engage we must see the rhythm and understand what participation requires of us. We were all born into a similar game, but it is not to be espoused as the internal locus of value generation or the measure of each other's value to the game's estimation. We must each cultivate an understanding of each other that is qualitatively different than what has been modeled. Because, the game is a construct, but the pieces and our participation is very real. I'm not sure how familiar you are with Dr Vervaeke's work on relevance realization or dialogue into dialogos.

I've been following you for more than 15 years and I have still no clue what you are talking about. I think it's partly a language barrier, where you use big words that I don't have a good definition of. But I think many people would understand you better if you asked yourself "how can I explain my point as simply as possible?". I understand that this is the oposit of your personality where your brain goes 200 miles per hour and your mouth tries to keep up. Maybe end the video with a summary where you practice to distill your point into a simple concept. Love your stuff thou, takes me back to the early years of youtube.

The Whitman mission is an example of how wholesale export of the In group out group enterprise is a deeply flawed strategy. At least the Spanish missionaries in the area lived with the tribes. They did not require biblical literacy, customs, dress and assimilation.

Cetaceans came to mind pretty quick for some reason. I don't like the father analogy. A father should hope that his kids exceed him and no longer need him (at least not the way kids need parents). He should be afraid that they remain dependant on him. Also, the fear is that AI will not only decide it doesn't need us but that it'll then wipe us out because of it. Do fathers have that fear?

Sir we can suck at writing together. When I write it is because I feel compelled and I do it for my sanity. I have no dreams of wealth but would love to reach an audience if what I write can help others in any way. I think to the right people it can mean something and that is good enough for me.

I live in Eastern Europe. Somehow it feels like there's something seriously wrong in the air lately, like we're living through societal shifts and turns that are happening very quickly and are orienting themselves in a very specific direction, with many of us outright targeted or simply ending up as roadkill as a consequence.

What do you even MEAN by "intention"? This goes right back to "free will" and "consciousness". What *is* consciousness? You're still making a leap of faith, and that's fine, but you don't have any argument good enough, still, for rarionally justifying that faith. And when it comes to things like faith, many have zero interest in adopting it merely because they can't close some evidence gap.

This was a real treat to see. As someone peripheral to or at least a prior fanboy of the Knighted Owls, it’s remarkable to re-experience such a stark reminder (you, surfaced) of those times to re-contextualize who & where I am. Importantly and foremost, I am alive. This is not a casual conclusion to arrive at. Secondly, domesticated life has subdued and then tamed a previously wild & artistic one. For all the grandiose and complicated attempts at creating something artistic and profound in my life, I find that I am the most proud and in awe of my two children; two things I have created, that (interestingly) require basically zero skill, discipline, or unique creative attributes; something that sheer animals do. I’ve struggled most of my life coming to terms with and clasping desperately at delusions of grandeur surrounding my nominally, quantifiably subpar artistic success, lack thereof really. Despite all my energy investments, I am not it seems destined to be an artist. I have made a fool of myself trying to get others, even my idols, to believe something that was probably never true. But maybe that makes me uniquely to be destined to be a very good father. And that’s where I am, still, with revenant breezes of silent creativity, blowing on & messing with my hair (thankfully ai still have it) this way and that, occasionally. You seem to be in a rhythm of decades. I never got to know you personally, so I can’t be sure, but it appears you have been relatively constant, which is admirable. I will not be doing myself or the long lost spirit of KZbin proper justice without offering some counter-argumentation. What is defined as a waste in the present tense, specifically a waste of energy, is prospective and as speculative as an asset’s appreciation. Proof of work is arguably not a lateral move away from proof of war ($). The “artificial“ in the phrase “artificial intelligence“ is future terminological-antique of our paradigm. AI’s progress, hindered by all the things you mentioned and also by an ironically Christian-fundamentalist-like sense of pretzeled ethics, is also hindered by (I assume) an exclusive knowledge that we have already reached a point of no return, and that the most disturbing milestones have been achieved in relative secrecy, similar to the atom bomb until its demonstration on a global scale. Despite those using the metaphor in a way that would make even the Nazis blush, there is no such thing close to being “the atom bomb of our era“. Cheers on being in home Michigan, and enjoy it being this year’s home of college football national championship, I’m sure that will be an easy and effortless mode of small talk when you need it. - CelphaFiael

On 2, I majored in physics in the last 15 years, and there is nothing that's pointing to intentionality, or a god-figure in quantum physics. Just as atheist posters shouldn't argue with a strawman of their sunday school teacher, we probably don't need to spend time on them. I would suggest Victor Stenger's Quantum Gods, to either just read or deconstruct. He was a physicist (co-discoverer that the neutrino had weight iirc) and a philosopher. He vehemently argued against the idea that quantum mechanics implied the existence of god in many articles as well. Something else you might be interested in is the newest Left Reckoning episode where they talk about how new atheism isn't even about atheism, just rightwing politics.
@SpookyDivergent
@SpookyDivergent 10 ай бұрын
Not a god-figure. Please don't infer/anticipate the argument NOT presented ;-) Intentionality exists as a causal force in all observable phenomena in so far as there are no separate phenomenological domains by which intentionality might be segregated from the space in which it is observed. That's it. Finito. Nothing else. From that position one would have to define an upper bound of phenomenologically possible domains (dimensions) and demonstrate its absence (top-level causality) and that intentionality does not exist there in order to positively assert the absence of a god-head. Agnosticism, ignosticism, et al are phenomenologically justifiable positions. Positive atheism is not. I do not have a positive belief in such a god-head, but do recognize it as a reasonable inference from culturally colored interpretation of current emergent cosmology. Also notable that the domain in question is more pertinent to astrophysics than quantum mechanics. And yes, New Atheism has very, very little to do with atheism in general and nothing at all to do with secular humanism in particular.
