I’ll take my 50 year old 1974 36’ Trojan Tricabin. 3 separate sleeping areas with two heads and a shower. Still gets up on plane nice and she goes! Tiara is nice too though.

Me and my wife just purchased our 87 tiara 36 convertible. We picked up the boat for 40 K. We cleaned it up and t surveyed for 67k. Keep your eye out for these older Tiaras as they are built to last.

Honestly im like you, i buy nice things with issues that i can fix an save overall because i cant afford to always have the nice stuff outright. The fuel situation man come onnn you kno how bad it is for diesel fuel system to be ran dry

It's crazy to see how vastly cruisers have changed in even a decade. I myself have a 25' Ciera (circa 2000) with a single 350 and Bravo III drive (did about 55 out of the box) and the entire boat is run off of just 2 batteries.

Saw the A/C pump change. I hope it works well if you do have poor performance it might now be a mismatch with the evaporator coil. Some times bigger is not better but if problems occur it’s something to consider as your flowing twice the water with a still 500 gallon coil.

Be careful using k&n filters the turbos will suck the oil out of the filters and gum up the intakes

One of those traderous, made in Mexico Gay Man's Chevy. Don't know how anyone can support Gmc after they stole 11 billion from the American people and let go alot of life time employees to move most of their production to mexico. Ya a few trucks and cars are still assembled here but screw them they showed that the have no loyalty to their employees or this country.

I just installed oil catch cans on my yanmars. This took care of the inlet blades getting mucked up from the engine breather pcv blow-by being dumped right into the turbo inlet. My turbo blades were just as dirty as yours. I had to use dawn & water, but it was so bad I had to use wd40. I used a med. tooth brush to clean each blade.

Is this after the addition of the K&N air filters and soundproofing? If it is, are you still experiencing the delay from turbo spooling? Love the boat, pretty much what I'm looking for.

@BoatRestorationbyBen I do too. Going to look at a 32 ft Luhrs Open with low-hour Yanmars (550 hrs). Good price, but needs a little TLC from sitting in a lift for 18 months.

What you’re calling the battery charger is actually a dual alternator regulator. Victron doesn’t even make such a thing. Make sure you have the correct voltage at the batteries with the engines running as those Charles C Charger alternator regulators were very problematic and very well may have caused your battery problems in the first place.
