Love my Cayman 4.0 GTS, mine is Aventurine Green as well, really suits the car and gets a lot of love at Porsche meets.

I had a similar experience at Walnut Creek Porsche. I expected more from purchasing my first Porsche but because it was only the Cayman GTS 4.0 it seem like they rushed me outta there. 😂

Porsche stopped making and selling the 718 Boxter / Cayman this summer, now you can only buy the Spyder / GT4 model that is 2,5 times more expensive ;( Porsche say they will only make electric Cayman / Boxter from now on. +++

I traded my M3 Comp Jahre for 25 BGTS in late August with no allocation, next day got one and car production is starting this week. Went with PDK and Vanadium Grey, which just opened to more cars for 2025 MY. Congrats!

I'm guessing your favorite flavor is vanilla? For that money, you could have a had a 997.2 911 in an actual color, low miles. With money left over for a truck to tow the car to your favorite track. Or a sorted 996 Turbo. After driving the GTS 4.0, I find it gutless below 4K RPM. God forbid anybody prefers the torque of the 2.5S, that it's not a "real" Porsche. That would be heresy. Forgot to mention my car. 2019 Cayman GTS. And no, it doesn't sound like a Subaru. Best wishes.

I've owned a base (PDK), tested a GTS 2.5 (Manual) and driven a GTS 4.0 (Manual). I can't ignore the feeling of wanting to own a 718 again. S, GTS 2.5, GTS 4.0, or GT4 i'd be happy with any of them.

Congrats again!! I feel you on the delivery experience, you had an amazing experience at PECLA for the GT4, too bad the dealership didn't make it a little more special. You pay $100K+ for a nice car, for most of us it's a major accomplishment in life and should be a special moment you can remember. But enjoy the car and I'm sure many more magical driving moments will be had!

wind buffeting is because cars are designed to have the best wind coefficient, and that is with the windows closed. if you open a window or even 2, the wind buffeting will be worse the more aerodynamically designed the car is.

Edelbrock and harrop are positive displacement superchargers. This is a trillion times better then the others because it works instantly. Its day and night difference.

Hey there. I was following your channel since you had some S2000 content. I love the Cayman 981 GTS and GT4. Porsches are very reliable cars. Have you considered a pre-owned certified 981 GT4 or 718 GT4? With the pre-owned CPO cars you have the history to look back to for any pre-existing or past issues, and the strong CPO warranty. It is a way to enjoy the GT4 now as 2-3 years down the road many things can change---as far as pricing and availability of GT cars. Or maybe get back into a fun RWD car like the s2000. Happy New Year.

One question: in other posts I read that you need to install a capacitor to protect the new tweeter, but you did not seem to have that issue. Any thoughts on this?

I am not tryin to be a troll but I always see people wearing paper masks in 2023 and I want to ask-why? Have you guys not read or heard how ineffective they are?
