I’m 52 years old and haven’t skated a bowl since The Turf. My city just built a new park with a small bowl and I can say I absolutely needed this video… thanks!

I'm not sure I understood. What was the point of pumping on the way up? Would it be even better to pump in both directions? Powerslides looked fun, what is wrong on putting too much weight on the toes while kickturning? Congrats to the student. I'd be terrified by this ramp.

Love that skateboarding isn’t seen as a destructive “activity” for low lives anymore. It’s an inclusive sport now. Always good to see.

Ive always had troubles with rock to fakies because i tend to try to rotate and keep my balance. The way he puts it makes so much sense and i cant wait to try this

Lol he is an amazing teacher but the death stare he gives the little kids after he makes a point cracks me up. He does it every time. He gives the stare into the soul then gets closer and closer to them.

Every time i try to rock further up on the coping i end up hanging up because my trucks make contact sooner than im used to, and trying to hold out longer feels really weird and usually ends with me hopping off or falling off. Though it does change from ramp to ramp a bit
@GuitarFRETBOARDHACKS21 сағат бұрын
Great advice. Leaning in too far and early will get your back truck caught on the coping

Ahhhh! This is such an awesome video! I wish i has someone like you to teach me these things when i was learning! I'm 33 now, and there was _nobody_ teaching like this when i was learning. It took me 6 months from landing tres on one foot, to actually doing them consistently. It doesnt help that the only 2 other people that i skated with seemed to be really jealous of my progression and refused to film anything i did, but always wanted me to film them, and suddenly just stopped skating with me all together when i started doing handrails and stuff. :/ I love your videos man! You can literally see them learning in real time because of your coaching. Amazing work!! :3

Tried skating again for the first time in 30 years. ( A little bit rusty, but thought I still had it enough to impress my kids) Found out about the balance point the hard way. It was a great lesson in what not to do 😅. Always wear a helmet 👍

I recently got back on a board and while i can't ollie no where near as high as i used 14+ yrs ago I remembered this and to gently put lil bit of pressure on your foot slightly towards the nose direction almost as if you want to bend the ankle but don't ,after about 30 mins i was abe to get up on the grind box ,and 3 days later i landed a 5050 , noW this guy is definitely hands down the best instructor i have ever seen on any video ,other than maybe the Brigade fundamentals vhs from wayyyy back then ,but he still way more clear on instructions!

How is it physically possibly to have more weight on your front foot when you lift the nose?
@ballinonabudget6229Күн бұрын
Lifting your born isn't about leaning back it's about having pressure on the tail and simply bending your front leg. I also disagree with the weight. I'd say 60/40 with more weight on the tail
@brewicedtea7016Күн бұрын
Wrong. You ever seen a runner leaning back in a full sprint?
@ballinonabudget6229Күн бұрын
@@brewicedtea7016 that's not the same thing, Smart guy. You're not trying to rain momentum when you're lifting your nose off the ground. Not a good point at all. And if you actually read my comment look at what I said about leaning. Your argument doesn't make sense on multiple levels. Nice try tho.

More tips like this for beginners please. Not that I don't like all the other videos, but as someone just learning these are the most effective tips for people like me.
@leifbennett1354Күн бұрын
That's excellence. #1 st stance. Pre riding. Epic failure 0:40 displaying the balance points and your body's center line( a piece of tape, come on dude. It's like a racing stripe too for a fancy shirt) Pure champion work breaking this down. Maximum thanks. Keep leading by example. Nice work, a sliver out of epic yet legendary. So this, push then tik tak. I'll use my switch as beginner.
@leifbennett13546 сағат бұрын
I was at the skatepark earlier. Working on beginner switch. A little guy rides his board up to me on his knees and starts trying to stand on his board. So I took him to the flat grass and got him doing this. How's that working out?
