Do you know if this is the same Hiroyuki Togo who worked on Beatmania?
@should_be_asleep2 сағат бұрын
yeah it's the same artist, this cd is listed as part of his discography on his website: www.studio-izit.com/_files/ugd/de1869_a9a43bd0359f4773b83505c8b63df227.pdf his name is just listed in katakana as トーゴ・ヒロユキ all over this CD

Is this album only released as cassette version ? I would love a vinyl copy.. can you please share where you purchased / found this album ?
@should_be_asleepКүн бұрын
yeah this album was only released on cassette as far as i'm aware. i bought it off yahoo auctions japan in ~2018/2019 (can't remember exactly when) - i haven't been able to find out anything more about it, and i've done a bit of searching since then.

This is amazing. Reminds me of Endless Ocean in a lot of ways. I'd love to learn more about the artists and the label, as I cannot find any info on either of them. Would love to hear any other works they may have done.

Nice. Has a sound quite like computer/video games [fill in your favourite references here] (come to think of it, I bet most if not all, will be games made in Japan). But as I initially stated, nice. Thumbs up.

This is new to me, and has a real 'feelgood factor'. I have a 'can-take-it-or-leave-it' relationship with ambient, far preferring, say, early Tangerine Dream. But this is up there, way above average. I think I'll be listening to this often. thanks for the upload.

The song "Danse Des Bulles (気泡の踊り)" is actually a remix / reimagining of Maurice Ravels composition "Le Tombeau de Couperin", composed between 1914 - 1917. It's such a beautiful original song and it's also really cool how Fukamachi added his own touch into it. I'm in love with this album!

I listened to this when someone I really loved ended up leading me on for years, only to throw me away for some fucking loser and acted like she never did anything wrong to me. That was 6 years ago now. Every time I come back to it, it reminds me how far I have come and how beautiful and evocative the tracks are. Its stunning that Hiroshi is able to create such genre defining ambient music as well as piano tracks like this.

This is amazing! I'm looking online to purchase it and it is impossible to find so this must be supremely one of the rarest cassette tapes at this point in time
@should_be_asleep10 сағат бұрын
maybe not 'supremely' haha there are definitely rarer tapes, but i think it's pretty scarce. don't think i've seen another one pop up online since I bought this one ~6 years ago - have been periodically searching for more from "Yamaha Marine Environmental Sounds" without luck.
