It's all about style over substance. Zered Bassett grew up a few towns away from me. I remember he was on 16 skateboards, and then there was all this local buzz about him getting on Zoo York, and we were all waiting for E.S.T. 2.0 and Mixtape 2.0 to come out. I skated with him a few times back in the day. I've seen Jereme Rogers and Eli Reed skate in Boston but Zered was unbelievable in person. And he's still doing at 40 years old.
