I see Sam’s posts in my LinkedIn feed very often - because some of the accounts I follow comment on them. Kudos to him for making it to 50k! But also how much of that success is attributed to him being coached by Justin Welsh? (Something that Justin posted about)
@sam-browne23 сағат бұрын
Hey Evelyn! I've never done coaching with Justin (or anyone). I did buy Justin's course, The Operating System, and that was what gave me my start on LinkedIn.

Good workers are punished with extra work and therefore, if divided by their increased work load, is making less per hour. Then what's the incentive for going above and beyond? Work what they pay you and not be exploited unless they compensate you for the extra work or financially reward you for exceptional work within a short amount of time.

This will probably get deleted but heads up y'all: Be VERY wary of people who achieve growth on LinkedIn by talking about how to achieve growth on LinkedIn. This is like a stadium food vendor telling a French restaurant how to sell more hotdogs. I have 126K followers on TikTok so I can assure you - if your target market isn't "everyone active on this platform" the same rules do not apply to you.
@thefuturКүн бұрын
Like any advice, take it with a grain of salt and use what applies to you, don't knock things until you try it. He got to 50K+ plus for a reason. You can either choose to do the same thing you have been doing or listen to someone that has done it. @AlexJ1 just curious how many followers do you have on LinkedIn?
@AlexJ1Күн бұрын
@@thefutur I have 126,000 followers on TikTok - which has allowed me to run a low-stress six-figure solo business. And I exclusively talk about my niche discipline, not platform growth tips or broad mindset advice. So I do know how to grow on social media. I just want people to be cautious about who they take advice from. Don't be wow'd by big numbers from social media growth guys like Justin Welsh or this guy. You're fishing in the ocean, they're fishing in a pond.

Hey Alex - it's a fair point. I actually post a lot about my entrepreneur journey, and share stories from building businesses like my music agency. This has allowed me to differentiate myself and build a personal brand, rather than just a big audience. I have zero interest in just being a LinkedIn Growth Guy™.

The one important factor not mentioned is that you cannot do this when you are starting out :D do this and bad word will spread like wild fire leaving you struggling for a long time. Be forward with everyone and dial down as you get bigger. At a certain point you can lean back and say "There is the door and don't forget to close behind yourself" in a diplomatic way where the people you just kicked out will be surprised how friendly you are and come back with more customers because they started to like you. Image does a lot too. If you are wearing expensive stuff (or can show off other things) that is easy to recognize you are less likely to be ever asked such a question. if you look medium or poor you are "eye" level to most clients and thus they know they can attack you in random ways. But if you are above their reach most won't even try.

I honestly dont care so much about the HOW to grow a following on LinkedIn, but rather WHY. This is not an attack, but an honest request. The HOW is usually never really important, but the WHY is most of the time very important in the pursuit of X. Also might add WHO. Who should care to why to grow a following on LinkedIn :) And Chris, i know you can give a great take on this, and not any of that shallow bs that many would do, so thats why i am asking HERE :)

They go over this in the podcast, but if you can grow on linkedin you can make more sales. Especially if you create towards your ICP, then you will even find that leads come to you!! Hopefully that answers your question!
@KristianTheDesignerКүн бұрын
@@BrunoPozo4Real yes, and thanks Bruno, but that is what i refer to as a bit of a bs-answer to the Why 😁 I rarely see anything but a contest in who can brag the most on LinkedIn, and very few actual ”sales”/conversions. Not talking about me not selling, but analyzing and watching others do it. Just so you understand, i do not call your response a bs response, Bruno..just had to make that clear 😁

@@KristianTheDesigner but the truth is people are making sales on Linkedin. Not everybody, that’s true, but my partner has gotten most of our clients through Linkedin. And at 42:57 he mentions how his clients have landed deals through linkedin as well. But it sounds like you are looking for a deeper WHY? But that's personal and can vary by person. Why do people do anything?? Cause they get something out of it like enjoyment, money, relationships, etc.. It just depends!
@thefuturКүн бұрын
I think Bruno is pretty spot on, not sure what other response than growing your presence in a business "first" social platform where you can build your reputation you're looking for.

This issue is that’s assuming you send the client the logo and they are immediately happy with it. In my experience, working on a project rate gives the client the impression they can ask for infinite edits-asking you to go back to the drawing board over and over again only to eventually arrive back at the original design. By offering an hourly rate, the client is forced to really consider what they like and don’t like about the design, limiting the edits to keep the billables down

Good job explaining MANIFESTATION, Chris! 🎉 Your wife would approve! 😅 You incorporated both the ✨woo woo 🪄 & psychological perspectives 🧠. As a mental health therapist who often guides clients into manifestation I like to remind them that it involves using positive thinking, visualization & self-fulfilling prophecies to influence outcomes. Positive thinking broadens awareness and fosters new skills, visualization activates brain areas related to performance & self-fulfilling prophecies encourage behaviors that lead to success. Cognitive dissonance motivates you to change your behavior to better align with your goals & then the placebo effect shows the power of belief causing you to hit the “repeat” button… these psychological principles help create a mindset that enhances motivation, focus & resilience helping you meet your personal goals. 🎉Get it.

I work in sales and one of the biggest mistakes I see new sales associates make is selling out of their own pocket. You have to have the mentality that whatever client you are working with is looking for the absolute best product and service because that is what everyone deserves. Don’t bring objections to your client, overcome them when they get brought to you. Also you want to sell the problem not the product. Everyone has “great” product nowadays but why is that relevant to your client? Don’t tell them “they need” what your selling tell them “why they need to have it”.
