Just finished watching this video, Chris. Rightfully so there's a lot of inspirational insights and information to take in and digest. When content is flooding everyone, it pays to be fully differentiated. Indeed our superpower lies in being unique as we can be (without losing ourselves in the process). Thank you for reminding us we can be comfortable with what makes us unique and imperfectly different. Big thumbs up.

The value I have to offer people is in a completely different field, one where a "sale" is a very different kind of transaction. The beauty of Chris's presentation is that I can easily generalize everything he says to how to succeed in the interface between me and the people to whom I provide value. Brilliant stuff, Chris!

Watching your content confirms that my out of the box thinking is not only correct it’s shared by others that are respected. We may have a few slight differences in opinion but fundamentally I have come to the same conclusions and believe the normal ideas that may have been the best understanding at the time, are no longer the best thinking. I’ve had an unusual branding challenge this summer: I’m viewed as too much of an expert. Around $7k/month was left on the table by clients who saw me as an authority and advisor but thought that doing the implementation was beneath me-even after I directly expressed interest in taking on the work. Instead of allowing me to get my hands dirty too by mixing implementation with advisory, they either hired other doers or halted progress all together :( And these are clients I’ve worked with for 3+ years on/off

it's the ALGORITHM👻!!! jokes aside, it's mostly because this is live content. It is optimized for LIVE value per unit of time rather than sharability, virality and entertainment- all done in post production. Personally, I love this, I watch more Keynote presentations than the average person but again it isn't optimized for KZbin's ecosystem, which would take a lot of time, preparation and work. I think it is fair that this presentation, although superb, doesn't get Billions of views. The Futur is doing great work but taken side to side with Mr. Beast's obsession with YT, the effort is less hyper-focused to cater only to YT.

Authenticity. “Who we truly are versus the personas we craft online”-I can’t help but scratch my head at who he’s pretending to be now with these bizarre outfits. Is that a skirt paired with an airplane seatbelt? It’s so unusual. It’s hard to focus on his message because I’m distracted by what he’s wearing, seemingly to mask his social awkwardness. He used to exude professionalism, but now it borders on comical. Love this dude, and love his passion, message, and knowledge, but I just wonder why he woke up one day and said, "Yeah, today the hat gets tape on it, goes on crooked, and will pair nicely with this skirt." Are you who you say you are?
@thefuturКүн бұрын
I am. If you’ve been following my journey you may have noticed how I’ve been interested in fashion. I mix it up. The brand dsquared2 makes a hat called icon. I thought that was too much. But they also make a hat with it crossed off. They have a sense of humor and gets people to talk. If you look into some of the avant garde brands you’ll see that these are the more fashion forward looks.
