My friend, this was spectacular! Fire Emblem is one of my all time favorite game franchises and the Tellius duology is my ABSOLUTE favorite! You did an excellent job explaining the story of PoR and making it easy to understand for new comers! And am looking forward to listening to your videos on the rest of the series!

I do love most of these characters and the costumes they wear. I love many of the outfits of Link, Zelda, Ganondorf, Sheik, Impa, Lana, Cia, Volga, Wizzro, Darunia, Ruto, Midna, Zant, Fi, and Ghirahim. Although since I play the original Hyrule Warriors, with most of its DLC, I don't have the costumes for the other characters, even though I do have most of the characters themselves. I have the Era of Hero of Time, and Era of Twilight outfits for Link, Zelda, and Ganondorf, The entire expansions with Master Quest, Twilight, and Termina, the 5 Legends characters pack, and Toon Zelda, and the Dark Link costume. I love playing as most of the characters in many of their costumes, and Twili Midna, Young Link, Toon Link, Toon Zelda, Tetra, King Daphnes, and Skull Kid are very fun to play as too, even without the costumes of the later versions. Although, I do wish Rusl, Nabooru, and Groose were playable too. I would've loved to play as them. Rusl would've had nice moves that would sometimes involve Ashei, Shad, Auru, the Golden Cuckoo, and the Hawk. Rusl's potential costumes could incorporate a Helmeted, Unhelmeted, and Bandaged form, and potential alternate costumes for Rusl could've included references to his fellow resistance members, Colin (Unhelmeted), Talo (Bandaged), Renado (Unhelmeted), Barnes (Helmeted), possibly even Instructor Eagus from Skyward Sword (Helmeted). Nabooru could've wielded the axe of Iron Knuckle and wear its armor in Focus Spirit mode. Then we would finally have a playable axe wielder in the game. Nabooru's potential costumes could've referenced The several Gerudo pirates from Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask, Twinrova (or Koume and Kotake separately), and Telma. Groose deserved better than to be completely absent from the game, while his Groosenator was reduced to a set piece after only being used in one story mission. So I would've loved to play as Groose, and have him bust out his Groosenator for his biggest moves. Groose's potential costumes could've included references to Fledge, Karane, Cawlin, Stritch, and Instructors Horwell and Owlan. I also wish that there were other costumes that represented the Clock Town and Romani Ranch residents. We only got Kafei Mask on Sheik, but no costume of Kafei himself (That one could work on Young Link or Toon Link maybe), or Anju (Probably for Zelda or Lana), or Romani (Marin probably), or Cremia (also Marin), or Jim and the Bombers (Actually that would be another cool one for Groose). Anyway, the point of me saying all this is that I am happy we got what we did, but still disappointed that we didn't get what we didn't.

Ngl imo And yes I have played them both fully Fates is better than Awakening character and storywise to me I just vibed with the characters more especially my boy Arthur on conquest And I like the story ties with fate doing it even more so than Awakening

i think Claude's route makes the most sense, Dimitri's seems canon but Eldegarde's has to be a dream. Literally all her problems could of been better solved if she was open to conversing or even speaking to all the other lords Byleth and Rhea

I see Butters innocence as a consequence of how hard and dominating his parents are over him. He's pretty much a kid affraid of exploring his freedom over the fear of his parents reactions. That makes Butters trapped into an "innocence bubble" leaving him childish (at first glance). His parents always want to "dominate" him (as exemplified in the vampires episode).

Having no limit to what classes a character can be isn't fun for me. I want a character to be say locked into being a peg knight or sword master bc otherwise you end up with what everyone did and make a full team of wyvern classes. Lame

I am just playing through on Normal Casual, haven't done a single battle other than the chapter battles and some parallogues, and the challenge and pacing is fine. If you grind and break the game, well, maybe you should not have done that. Unless that's what you find fun, why would you do it?

Conquest ending couldve been better if Xander had kept Hoshido

I finally finished playing FE 1 myself, and I cannot stress enough how maddening that inventory system was 😭

Going on a tangent about gay relationships being in a game and needing to be included is pretty cringe. There are plenty of other things to mention that are more impactful to the actual gameplay. The skill system and ability to class change to what ever class you want is ridiculous. This started the downfall of the series imo where people were jumping around to different classes just to get a skill that ended up breaking the game.

Imo this is the worst game in the series. If this is the "modern era" it needs to go. This avatar, relationship, team up, and skill heavy crap is so bad. If it wasnt so broken in so many places it woulda been great. Glad it kept fire emblem alive but its not good and IS decided that since it did so well that they just have to keep doing the exact same thing

I don't know if you will read this but i have completed the story twise and beat 5 adventure maps on Nintendo 2ds( basically a worst version of the normal 3ds) I have suffered so much,the graphics bad, troops dont always spawn in the right way and FPS god the FPS os the worst part running on 20 or even lower

I think you were little off the mark in what FE7 actually added that made it different fr FE6 and you actually named most of the changes in the next segment. In all i think this style of fire emblem is the perfect game. Adding all the ridiculous skills and plethora of class changes that come in later games ruined the fanchise for me. A combo of this and fe8 with a better story and fresh more fleshed out characters is perfect

Ah well Wendall is still the Pope i see so it's not that big of a travesty, i guess...

I must say, this and Awakening are probably objectively the best fire Emblem games, this one and genealogy are my personal favorites.

Beating Birthright Once was perhaps one of the worst Time investments of my life.

Aw man, four years after this video and only now I learn this is a legit, turn-based combat DQ game with GPS functionality. I was so hoping back in the day PKMNGO would have its original combat mode rather than the incessant, mind-numbing screen-tapping. But we're never going to get DQ Walk in the West, and even if we did it would probably quickly go the way of DQ of the Stars and DQ Tact. Sadge.

I am really glad they brought this game to the Switch because I wanted to see Yuga and Ravi in HD and I was worried that we would only see them in 720p since this pack was only for the 3DS version and not the Wii U version.

Edit: After reading a bit more about that, it turns out that both her "agressive addiction to smal girls" as well as her being only interested in two male cast members (one being the player) are due to localisation. So in the original JP she was neither of those being capable of achiving S with many more male cast members as well as having significantly different support convos for those members. Strange how I never noticed it, makes you wonder what else they changed to such a degree.

Theres a bigger chance this gets a remake over Geneology due to easier transitions of smaller map layouts, just as boisterous a power system as Geneology, and the bloodline weapons being an easy gimmick to milk. Also, Leif having beloved characteristics that of an Avatar without taking away from his genuine uniqueness.

I really wish you had talked about some of the other development strife things, like to talk of how much to lean into romance and story and support writers being different. This game also had a ton of localization debates.

Perfect balance should NEVER be the goal for a single-player game, especially in this kind of simulationist genre. Being able to find the weird interactions in the systems and using weird tactics to break the game is half the fun in a game like this.
