I dont recommend getting an aluminum one. They don't last long at all. We still have the cast iron one Julian bought about 20 years ago. It's not the one I use in the video, but it's just like it. As far as a sewing machine, I want to get a Singer Heavy Duty. Ideally, I wish I could find a decent place to service my machines, but they're hard to find around here. I'm trying to learn to work on my machines myself.
