Oh man how I miss these times, it's very poignant. Miss it more than words.

Being here makes me feel so good because I grew up in the 70’s and 80’s and it absolutely was a better time before all of this technology that has basically destroyed society because it hasn’t been controlled and used properly. Back then we literally did not lock our doors, families ate together and we talked to each other. It was the very basic things in fact in the 70s nothing was allowed to be open on Sundays so I remember my parents and grandparents saying hurry up and get your gas on Saturday night because you can’t get it on Sunday, it forced us to be together and go to church. We had great TV back then with great shows. The holidays were so much different and people truly were nice with more patience because we had to wait for everything even popcorn today everything’s instant and if you don’t get it in a matter of a second people get upset and love their patience.

So this was around October 1982. I was 10 years old. Why is everything so soulless and empty now? Cartoons, Halloween, commercials and TV shows. Movies and music are horrible. WTF happened? Man the 70s and 80s were the absolute best. The 80s are the only decade that's ever been so beloved. It's copied, reproduced, sampled and relived but it'll NEVER be the same. Things have gone to far now. It makes me sad as hell tbh.

I wish stores went back to playing Muzak or just instrumental music. There is something annoying about hearing singing while trying to sit in a restaurant or shop.

One thing I’ve noticed is that the further we got into the 70s and 80s they quit calling it Christmas and started calling it the Holidays

My three favorite commercials are the Majestic Clydesdale horses, the Coca Cola and the Hersheypark kisses. Oh how so many fun memories are going through my mind as a 70's child.

The stop-motion puppets used in this production were given to a family who stored them in a hot attic. Only two survived in poor condition - Rudolph and Santa. They were brought to the Antiques Road Show where they were appraised at about $8,000 to $10,000. They were sold and totally restored. The last time they sold at the auction price of $368,000, and now reside at the Center for Puppetry Arts in Atlanta. If only the family had saved all the figures.
