Tip: If you put a quarter on the vent hole with a golf ball sized stone on the quarter it increases the pressure cooker performance of the cooker and keeps your food more moist. It also decreases actual cook times by increasing the internal pressure.

Great video. You took the time to explain alot of the issues with the SmokeFire. I had the same issues. It speaks volumes that Weber discountinued the Smokefire and came out with something completely different. They abandoned most of the unique design notes from the Smokefire for a more conventional pellet grill and guess what, there are alot less issues. Actually I haven't heard of any from Searwood owners. Give them credit for trying something new, but it seems they did zero testing on the Smokefire and if they did, they ignored the results.

@@BuQeyeBBQ Same. For me, the main reason I bought the SmokeFire in the first place was for overnight cooks. The flare ups and the pellets getting stuck pretty much ruled that out.

@@richardcole9990 Heating to a boil would likely concentrate it more and make it more potent over time if you reduce it. I’m no expert though and maybe you are right. I just wanted to dissolve those solids. Maybe it would kill the acetic bacteria if you heated it too much…

Nice job! I do back bacon twice a year . But I use Morton quick tender instead of salt, and I use brown sugar instead of white granulated. The ends I cut off from the back bacon I use them for beans. Thanks for the video!

I tried chicken bacon and its good. I think chicken and beef bacon are replacements for pork bacon because of food restrictions of islam and judaism.

Don't for get Walmart has "WHOLE Rotisserie Chicken" 🍗 for under 5 bucks. I eat on this all the time. Nice for a road trip, a fishing trip, or a picnic YUM > Don't buy 1 buy 2 take them home debone them and freeze them for some > NICE FAST FOODS 👌👌 Thank you Walmart for making my life MORE BETTER 🌈🌈

Stainless does not transfer heat well… Check out La Griddle if you like stainless but it’s $$$$ and they use a fuse cast plate to “solve” the issue. Even commercial griddles are not stainless (some are chrome steel but not stainless)

Do NOT leave store bought or 'washed eggs' on the counter for more then 30 mins to and 1 hr. Farm eggs or eggs with the bloom left on them are the only eggs that can be safely left out on the countertop

Just started dabbling into sausage making. So far I’ve made some Italian sausage and breakfast sausage. Amazon just delivered my sausage stuffer yesterday. I think I just stumbled upon a great hobby. Yeah, definitely need to be careful. I just use the fire resistant mat and watch what I'm doing. It is usually pretty simple, just be careful.

Great question...I don't really. I actually don't have the can cooker anymore. I got rid of it just because I didn't really use it for how it was intended. It was interesting for sure. If i was more of a camper, I'd have used it more I am sure.
