I fast on a daily basis from 7-8 pm until 12-2pm , most days I don’t eat until 2 pm . In the island I was born we have a population of centurions . The common denominator they ate starchy food , however they didn’t “ snack on fast foods “, they also ate what was in season and local. They tended to walk everywhere as they were essentially “ poor”. I also love the work of the DR Jamnadas , and other cardiologist on KZbin. Thanks you both.

I discovered low carb and intermittent fasting of 16-20 hours last year. I discovered freedom from the driving cravings for carb rich foods. It’s incredible! I was so baffled about having sharp and urgent hunger while I was obese; why get hungry when I had so much fat stored away. It screams bad body manage! I get it now. Low carb and intermittent fasting have been a fabulous gift to better health for me.

I have been on eating plan for the last 7 months.. Plan based on very healthy food, six meals a day. I lost 8 kg, and my blood pressure went from 150 to 120 in two weeks. Today I went to a further shopping centre.. I did not eat for 7 hours. I went through the food court, but I just could not give in. I could not buy KFC or McDonald's or anything else. I happened not to drink ither. I usually have water, tea, and two mugs of raw cacao drinks in the morning. I had more water and tea when I got back home. When I do fasting, it has to be dry fast. I can't drink and not eat. I am very healthy and fit at 68. I'm going to do Everest Base Camp in a bit of luxury next April. I have already done Machu Picchu and then The Rainbow Mt 5.100m altitude. Thank you both for a great video.

I really wish someone could've told me this when I was younger. It is so hard being addictive to food. I want that freedom

When I was a kid, there were about two overweight kids in each class. People nowadays are obsessed with food, and everything needing to be delicious.😢

I'm 64 and not one child in my class had an issue with weight. We walked to school and we ate school dinners. We did not drink fizzy drinks and treats were not a daily thing. Obesity is the norm in the UK and in the US. Its an epidemic.

I've become a recipient of the benefits of fasting. It is a daily practice and a liberating one. Also the Star Trek headpiece you wear is awesome. Fasting helps me to live long and prosper!!

We have been taught that we MUST eat at least three meals a day to be healthy-- NOW we are finally learning it is NOT true--- IF TMAD is better do that even if OMAD is better for your own body- do that--- but it is so hard to get out of the mental "fix" we have been taught for years!!!!

Growing up in the 60's, I had one friend who was fat. His parents came over from Germany after the war & he was fed a lot of starchy foods & his mom made some really good German desserts.

I love chicken curry which I make with potatoes now that my a1c is back to normal. I hope I don’t get too much of a spike from it.

You can fast for longer than 12 hours. Try to get to 16 and only eat in an 8 hour window.

@@engeneeringvehicle507I find it easiest to eat around 6pm. Full fat, protein and veggies. Then fast overnight til 8am. That’s your 14 hours there. If you drink tea or coffee, without cream or milk, that would not break your fast. You might be able to get to 10am, then that’s 16.
