I am a 68 years old woman and I don't eat bread and all wheat based food since over 15 years. Many years ago this was unthinkable for me. I absolutely needed to eat wholewheat bread for breakfast, but once you succeed to change your old eating habits you never look back.

Great video.. thank you..and my favorite cardiologist. Yes, I agree with your video. I have been on a ketogenic lifestyle and OMAD since 6/2022, and just like your video suggests, I have stopped eating all types of bread, bagels, pasta, cakes, pies, cookies, fast-food, all fried foods. Stopped using vegetable oils completely. As a result, nearly 2 years later I lost close to 100 pounds, lost all my visceral fat, reversed my stage 3 kidney disease, reversed my hypertension, reversed my metabolic syndrome, reversed my insulin resistance, no more PVCs-- not even one, and I have tremendous amount of energy. My LDL-C went up to 146, TC-222, but since I cut out sugar and processed carbohydrates, my Triglycerides came down to 66 and my HDL jumped from a low 32 to 64. So I have a very heart healthy TG/HDL ratio of 1.03--which signals that I am insulin sensitive. Again, thank you for this very informative video.. I am following all your directions for a healthy life. Have a great day.

Glad you found what works. I'm vegan, slim, BP is 98/62, no cholesterol problems. Age 65 and can still do gymnastics. Been vegan most of my life. But this is so correct. It's sweets and junk that are killing people and making people fat.

@@user-jy7js7tu9y Hi, sorry for the delayed response. My TG/HDL ratio is 66/64= 1.03 So my triglyceride to HDL ratio is 1.03 I remember reading that a healthy triglyceride to HDL ratio is less than 2..but now they want your ratio to be less than 1.5 I hope I can maintain my ratio.. Have a great day...

I started eating a mostly carnivore diet a few months ago and do an 18 hour fast 2-3 days each week. I’ve lost 20 pounds and feel great. I still have my 3 cups of black coffee in the morning and I’m not giving up my 85% dark chocolate ( only 3 grams of sugar) and a glass of dry red wine in the evening. I’m 63 and received a high calcium score a couple of years ago. They did a scan with the dye and told me that I had a 60 percent blockage in one artery and 40 percent in another. They did a heart cath and were puzzled because the doctor said he was sure what they were seeing on the scan because the inside of my arteries looked fine. Go figure.

Italian Semolina pasta isnt the same as a lot of the junk produced in USA. And It's mostly sweets and greasy meat and those sweet fluffy drinks that are making people fat and unhealthy. I was born in 1959, and there were only a few overweight kids in my school. We didnt have all those sweet drinks and kids ate very few snacks and we ate real food at dinner that our parents cooked. We ran around outside and went for lots of walks and bike rides. Fat is a chosen lifestyle of bad eating habits and lack of exercise. Bread and pasta didnt cause it.
@Dolphin_457
@Dolphin_457 Ай бұрын
Thank you for your reply, I agree with you 100 % that bread and pasta didn't cause being fat. But in my case, before I started my ketogenic diet, I was addicted to bread and bagels. And yes, Semolina bread was my favorite. Believe it or not, I used to eat approximately 2 Italian breads a day and home fries. That caused me to gain weight because I had a poor lifestyle. Before the ketogenic lifestyle, I weighed a little over 230 lbs, sky-high triglycerides around 210, low HDL of 30, although my total cholestrol and LDL were normal. Since I started my ketogenic diet, my only source of carbohydrates come from cruciferous vegetables. I stopped all grains. People who are on the ketogenic diet think it's all about eating high fat foods and to a point they are right because I too eat high healthy fats. But a ketogenic diet is more about reducing your carbohydrate intake than eating more fats. People ask me all the time, family, friends, and my KZbin family. How did you lose all that fat? I am on Keto, but I am struggling, not losing weight, or I am not in ketosis. I always tell them that the reason why they are not in ketosis and not losing the desired weight is because they probably are not restricting enough carbohydrates. They are going above the keto suggested 50 grams a day...But like you said, Keto works for me, I reversed my hypertension, insulin resistance, stage 3 kidney disease, heart arrhythmia, Metabolic syndrome and all my lipid values normalized. Triglycerides came down to 66, and HDL jumped to 64. Thank you for listening to my story. You also have a very good story and lucky that you are healthy without resorting to a Ketogenic/Carnivore diet. Have a great day.

@hilarygibson3150 I agree, hilary..it's all in the genes. If you are lucky enough to inherit good genes, you can live a long, healthy, disease-free life...the rest of us have to take a lot of preventative measures..and take tons of medication..have a great day.

If someone can't get motivated to save their own life they're not worth having around
@Dianthuschinensis
@Dianthuschinensis 24 күн бұрын
That’s extreme don’t you think ? Someone who can’t get motivated is different from someone who doesn’t care about getting motivated. Struggling to find motivation is human. Not caring and disregarding facts and health is stupid and irresponsible. But if you are addicted to food that’s another problem
