Look up WGSN. Contrary to what you are saying about shows wanting to stand out in a major way, large fashion houses or any fashion houses who are concerned with actually having their pieces be selected by buyers to be put in stores need to strike a balance of incorporating forecasted trends plus adding their unique spin on it. At the end of the day because there are shareholders you please with profits, a lot of fashion houses can’t operate purely on the “making art” value when it comes to what they send down the runway. They need to send down “what sells” and fashion designers are not marketers, they do make us of and get direction through market trend forecasting.

im ngl your intro made me skeptical but this was a really fresh take on shopping i think. a lot of people online talk about “mindfulness” in a general sense without really explaining how to do it (probably because they don’t do it themselves) great video :)

Why did you take your new video down? The one with Jane Birkin on the thumbnail? :(

I'm glad you still posted the video anyways because you do genuinely have excellent skin. It's chic to be real. I'm so tired of seeing filtered faces online! Also, I've majorly had fish on the mind too... and crustaceans.

I am so grateful I saw your video today, honestly! I have struggled with my period my whole life, none of my doctors have ever taken the time to understand my symptoms and how I am feeling, util I finally began going to the one I use now. I have had a suspicion I have had Endo for a long time, and finally getting the confirmation from her that I might have it has been such a relief. Even with that, though, the thought of scheduling the surgery has been something I have had a hard time with. I have finally come to the conclusion that having the surgery is something I really need to do, but watching your video and seeing someone else feels the same way I do has helped ease my mind a little! Thank you!

I just watched this video three times because I need to retain this information. I swear every other video I have watched on the topics recommends buying either more basics or more classic style. Thanks for this 😊

1. Writing a list of your most common occasions 2. Find some ideal outfits for each occasion 3. Write out items in those outfits and cross out the ones you already have 4. Items you don't have are your wishlist, the most frequent ones are your priorities 5. If you find something that's not on your priority list don't buy it 6. Know where you can find which item more easily, go to stores in more mindful order 7. Be patient !! 8. Don't buy things just to cross them off your list, whishlist is your guideline, not pressure 9. Don't rush, go with less people or alone, focus on YOUR style 10. When you don't know if you love it, isolate it from it's environment: will it look good with your wardrobe, would you buy it if it was in a different store, would you love it anywhere 11. Don't buy something if there's something else you want more 12. You don't have to cut down on time spent shopping, but just cut down on unnecessary purchases Loved the video!!🩷

The “only your opinion matters if you love fashion” message has started to resonate with me - I used to think it was a little contrived, but truly I think the people whose style looks most effortlessly “them” requires that mindset.

I soooo needed this! I love shopping but my wallet doesn’t and this helped me think of shopping in another way. I had an all or none mindset before… like just stop shopping vs get it if you like it. Neither would lead me to feel good about something I love to do. I will be checking out more of your videos! Big Thanks from the fashionista in me & my wallet😅

It has to be a good reason I clicked on your video first. I’ve rescheduled my surgery several times, and the first two times were legit impossible timing. The other two were anxiety, fear, and everything else you mentioned. I have surgery in three weeks, and I randomly decided to watch videos, and I am so glad I clicked on yours first because I feel this exact way. I have been emotional all week and having tears in my eyes. Not to mention my period is late but due any day, and I am in pain and very emotional. I have PCOS and horrible anxiety. I know this comment is all over the place, but thank you for this video.

You should also watch stealthespotlight, she did a video on styling old trends where she made skinny jeans look very cool! She leaned into the scene aesthetic from what I remember.

you honestly look amazing and better with a pixie and this shorter hairstyle... And everything you said about attractiveness is 1000% on point. It is just a social (mostly patriarchal) construct and it changes ALL THE TIME. Thus, we should just play with our style and rock it any way it lands atm!!! Cutting hair short can be liberating and a chance to fully understand where your attractiveness comes from, which is def not from a hair or haircut. (Not to say hair shouldn't be important to a person..) It is TRAGIC tho that that many "hairstylists" can botch you and cause a huge emotional distress... It should really be under some law, the possible damages done... I also learned this the hard way, and from now on if I smell a hairdresser who doesn't listen to me or isn't skilled, I promised myself I will get up from the chair and leave, before the damage, or at least too much damage is done! Bravo for the real talk and courage. I've been in your boots, and still am, and I am starting to think the same! 🌺🌺✨✨✨

I had so much fun recently, making many collages for different categories of things on Pinterest. I’ve been curating my wardrobe for the last 3 years and it’s almost perfect. I have so many inspirations for outfits. Howeverrrrrrrr I have no where to go 😂😂😂. Well, I have very few places to go. When I started working on my wardrobe I was single living alone. Now I’m married with two babies and no time. I basically go to the grocery store and my mom’s house. 😂😂 oh man. When I had places to go I didn’t have the clothing options I have today and today I do but have no one to watch my kids so my husband and I could go on cute dates and stuff. 😅

Style icons are those we want to dress like not behave like. Rachel green was nothing i would try to recreate at all. Her outfits were“normal “ but the style is not much really. Be yourself , if u like the way a pair of pants fit on you, remember that and then try and incooperate a top and wear what you think is great with those pants

It's the casual days I don't have clothes for. I find I love shopping for the "going to work" outfits or "going to church" outfits which I absolutely do not need any more of. But here it is Saturday, again, we're just having a regular day, and I only have workout clothes. It is the hardest category for me to fill. Dressy clothes are easy. Comfortable but stylish (to me) casual clothes are so hard for me!
