What do you mean when you say the sample plays mysteriously in the background? Are you saying that you don't like the artifacts the looper imposes on the sound? Just looking to understand further

Sorry for my poor voice quality - I was trying to say if you load a sample in a looper track, the sample just continuously loop in the background, and you cannot chop it up or trigger it. Hope you liked the video!

Nice! Can the Roland MC 101 edit individual drum pitch/tone/key ? I heard it could only affect all the drums at once asa pose to the MC 707 which can edit individually ?

Does anyone know if the velocity sensitivity settings of the synth editor also apply to the drum tack with drum samples (as it does in the MC-707)? I look up in the manual and I could not find any info about the velocity sensitivity settings from the tone/synth or drum tracks.

Thank you for this really helpful tutorial. I have one issue: I have a drum track with effects on some pads, but the drum track was recorded dry in ableton, without any pad effects. What is wrong?

I am wondering… actually you can’t do infinite tracks on the mc 101 bc you’re limited to the Looper RAM , which is not much. I was stuck after importing/resampling 6 loops with 4 bars length. Then the mc 101 showed me an error „not enough contiguous memory“. Did you find a workaround for that?

Hi, I have trouble with an 80 steps sequence (5 bars for all 4 tracks) that doesn't play in its entirety during scene chain. It only plays the first 4 bars and skips to the next scene. When I turn off scene chain, the clip plays all 5 measures. Do I have a faulty unit or is it a bug with odd measures during scene chaining?

@@teabreakbeats without having used the 101 I’m sure the Blackbox wins sampling just because it’s so good at it. Sequencing though…the 101 might have an edge there.

@@teabreakbeats yeah, already leveling up with 101, love that device, before had SP 404 MK2, sold it, wasn't my peace of gear :D btw, maybe you can help, i noticed when i put sample in Drum track, when i play sample it sounds and then fades away, i can't understand why and how to fix it

You were the light in such darkness. It's such an easy but complicated process if you don't really know what you're doing. I'm new to Ableton, but I've been playing around with the MC 101 for a while. I always wanted to be able to record my work and this tutorial made it so easy. The possibilities are endless at this point. Thank you so much. You have gotten yourself a like and most definitely a subscriber. What an amazing machine and now with the integration makes much more worth it.

@@teabreakbeats I’m slow. I watched that one about limitless tracks about 20 times. I think it’s so cool all the ins and out of the mc. I never would get around to daw music production but have written a lot of tracks on the Mac. Now just to get the sounding their best and add vocals and guitars. I got a tascam 24 dpsdfor that. How do you see me getting my Mac tracks into the tascam? Or do you think I should go back into a daw. Ibught personas studio one back in the day. Maybe I could use that. The tascam does not have midi.

The tremelo artifacts in the pitched versions makes them unuseable so no there is no practical way to stretch these on this machine wich is a big oversight by Roland , somehow the balance on this machine is wrong , to much romsamples , no sample input , no way to timestretch with results, only 4 tracks ...

Hello 👋 Sorry for the weird question, is the interconnect cable (Y) cable the same as buying 2 separate normal instrument cables? I see that the interconnect cable has a red and black marking (obviously for right and left) but do I need to buy these types of (Y) cables or I'm I going to be fine connecting my instruments with single cable for left and another single cable for right? Thank you in advance 🎉

you can use two cables! The (Y) cable is Y on both ends, so its like two single instrument cables stuck together to make it neater. You can use two separate individual cables instead (like i did with the two Gold Cables to compare them.)

Actually Y cables have (usually) one stereo connector and two mono connectors on the other side. Y resembles one connector on one side and two on the others. This is just simple double mono cables and not Y.
