I think something is wrong with your simulation. In the case where x starts in the corner and o in center, there are more than 3 possible games. And x can win. For example: X | | ------------ | O | ------------ | | X Is not considered and it is not identical to any of your games simulated. And if after this O moves to a corner, then X wins by setting up in the other corner

there's less then 14 possible end result. 5:34 lowest line. from left to right. the 1st and 3rd are identical. the from left to right, the 2nd of the middle line is also identical to the 2nd of the lowest line and the the 5th of the middle line. bonus. by rotating the square, they're literaly all the same from middle line 2nd to lowest line 4th. thus, although the cross and circles weren't placed at the same spot in the same order, even by rotating the square, there's actualy 7 possible end results, for the "14" exemple.

techically with the right technique it is possible to win when X starts in a corner and O takes the middle but the algorithm oversees it because the second move of X is not intuitive. if X takes one corner, O takes middle and X takes opposite corner it all depends on O's second move, if it's on the edge it will be a draw, if it's in the corner X wins

There is exactly 1 different game of tic-tac-toe and it ends in a draw if you follow your stretched definition of "different". However, I have no idea why you'd assume people would start in the center before assuming that they would play rationally (i.e. play a Nash equilibrium strategy).

This game always ends in a draw with a competent opponent. There is no better or worse starting move

Intriguing, some nice melodys, good idea, but real creatifity is not achievable by math, but its a good starting point or ramp to let your creative mind float and explore a new universe.

Realistically -- when both players KNOW how to play -- a game will always end in a draw. Practically, the first player has a CHANCE to win, but the second player can ALWAYS force a draw.

The corner opening has a non-zero chance to get a win even against someone who prides themselves in knowing how to play perfectly solved, always drawing tic-tac-toe. They might only know how to draw against the center opening, and O could blunder on move one, or more realistically on move 2 by allowing a fork.
