With the Enchanted Lace piece - if i stitched this on a maize gold linen with navy floss - do you think the floss being dark would hinder being able to see the pattern detail, or no?! Thanks!! 😊

I don’t think it would hide the design at all! I’ve seen a couple people (most notably @imogenxstitch) stitch this in dark/black flops and they have been beautiful!

Enchanted forest looks so good in an arched frame! And the margins turned out great! I keep on eyeing unusually shaped frames at Winners (it's an outlet chain in Canada), and every time I see the arch-style frames, I want to get one, but I never know what would fit in it, and your piece is very inspiring. Happy stitching!

Love the finish of Elegant Lace. I'm doing mine with B5200 on a deep red...but I have a very long way to go. Not stitchy related, but I noticed Nugget has a window perch high enough to jump to get into. I wondered how that's been working out. My cat is kind of a chonk at 14 lbs, and he doesn't always plan things out before he leaps so he can be a little clumsy. I'm afraid he would pull it off the window or worse, break the window.
@STEMxSTITCH
@STEMxSTITCH Жыл бұрын
What a gorgeous sounding color choice! Nugget loves his perch and has a fine time jumping into it. He is a larger cat, even at the heathy weight he is at now he is around 14 lbs and it’s no problem, just have to make sure the window is clean and the suction cups are stuck on really well. He is pretty sure footed though.

Nicole! New Year Greetings from Dallas! It was fun seeing all your finished pieces! I, too, have stitched the Lighthouse series from Tiny Modernist. I found a 4 space frame for them at Michael’s. I stitched them on 14 ct Aida so the 4x6 openings fit them perfectly. However I believe they had frames with 5x7 openings which would fit a higher count fabric. Also, what colors did you use for the orange cat in your Lola Crow piece? I want to stitch that piece for a friend who has an orange tabby. Thanks so much! Looking forward to seeing more from you this year!!

Thank you, and yes I can definitely show that! I’ll make a note to show some more details there in my next video, maybe I’ll even frame The Goldfish on camera for ya, so please keep an eye out! A couple notes for now though - I don’t leave much border because I don’t lace these finishes or anything like that. I actually just take the back of the frame out, line up the cross stitch inside as best I can (I keep the glass/plastic in) and the place the back on again. There is a tiny bit of extra fabric that sticks out the side of the back that I tug on to make it as straight as possible, then I just close up the tabs and that’s it!
