The project for your dad looks great! Your satin stitches (long stitches) are so good. Thank you for explaining how you kept them straight. I've only ever done embroidery on quilting cotton or tightly-woven muslin and struggled to keep my satin stitches tidy. Using a cross-stitch fabric would definitely help with that. Re: ads -- I find mid-roll ads jarring because I often have earbuds in and the ads are usually louder, but I also respect that flosstubers are providing content at no cost to me. If ads happen more often than 10 minutes apart, I generally don't continue watching that channel. Thank you for asking for feedback 🙂.

The midroll ads don't bother me that much. Your stuff is interesting to stick around for despite the ads. :) Also, I love that you switched up and used the satin stitch on the cactus piece! It turned out so good!

The piece for your Dad ❤ looks great!! I seldom watch ads period. I turn the sound off and flip my phone face down. There are few ads I enjoy (which is mostly due to music.) The ads play through, I just don't bother to look at them 😊

I love your dad’s piece. I think it looks better than this piece would have been as a cross-stitch. When satin stitches are that long, I use a laying tool to keep the strands straight, but clearly you did not need that. I have always called it long stitch when they are longer than an inch, at least that is what my father taught me. Way to go!

I totally agree, I love how it turned out. I haven’t tried a laying tool but I am very careful when I’m stitching to keep things from getting too twisty. I separate all the strand I’m using and then put them back together and straighten them by running my fingernails along the length so they are flat, which I think helps! And that’s an interesting distinction, I never really understood the difference.

Hi Love your flosstube You ask how we feel about ads and I greatly appreciate how upfront you are about them. Personally I dislike them, particularly mid roll ones, which are a shock. Recently I stopped following someone who had too many interruptions. Of course it is your flosstube and you can run it the way you want.

I hope you are able to enjoy your upcoming trip. To be honest I’m not fond of the ads in the middle of the video. The reason is because I wear ear buds while watching and most of the ads the volume is much higher than the video itself.

As for ads, I use headphones and if listening during the day while my kids are awake and noisy I have to keep the volume rather higher than I would like, so midroll are horrible, especially as my hands are usually occupied so I can't immediately turn down the volume. One question on youtubes info tracking, does it recognize and tell you if someone is using an ad blocker?

Mid roll ads are kinda annoying. But I don’t mind the ones at the beginning of a video or if they are between segments. Also, if they are spaced out they get less annoying, every 15-20 minutes is fine.

Ads are a necessary evil, but I do not like an ad mid-sentence. Also, people who pay for better KZbin will see less ads, so if it really bothers them, they could pay for ad-free.

Yes, the tiny art pieces work in PK... I've finished 3! I pay for KZbin Premium, no ads for me... it is so worth it since I watch KZbin most of the time!
