Custom cables. Though custom brackets are rather schmiko. Brackets are always so easy to fab up......?

Good progress, Mark. One of my GSXR 1000’s needs opening up, 2nd gear is knackered. I think it’s the dogs. Unfortunately on the that bike, it’s an engine out and split the cases job. But my 2019 GSXR 1000R has a cassette gearbox, you just pull it out the side with the engine in situ. Much more civilised 😂

What are the benefits of having the turbo further away from the exhaust headers rather than closer to the exhaust manifold? Great video!

So from what I’m getting it seems that a newer fork setup will almost very easily cross over. Changing the fork stem and keeping bearing that belong to the frame. Essentially swapping over the upper and lower clamp onto the older style stem ? I’m looking for a way to upgrade my 41mm to 43mm and radial calipers. Or was there machining to the triples besides the damper bracket ?

Mostly the headstem conversion and steering stops
@NostalgicMotorcycles2 ай бұрын
@@hoontvmotorbikes that is awesome information thank you. So the head stem on the 09 was longer but the same thickness as the 98. So the 98 stem fit the 09 upper and lower clamps. Try finding that information in a forum 😂😂

In theory you should be able to lock up your rear tire and ride it out.... Right? what exactly happened?
@nikhayes33962 ай бұрын
What does that mean? Second gear compression lock? It looked more like the front brake got locked up to me... granted its a terrible angle, but seemed like the front went out, which with so little rake angle I can see happening very easily.
@hoontvmotorbikes2 ай бұрын
I definitely looked like it, but my riding style is so used to just slamming the bike back through the gears at the track because my other bike has a slipper clutch. Wasn't a fun day

Try running clip ons so you're more over the front when you launch. Plus maybe drop the forks through a few mm

Nah, I prefer the MX bars on this one :)
@Yamaprilia2 ай бұрын
@hoontvmotorbikes I was just thinking because most of the time is made up on the launch that if you can canter the bikes weight more over the front you may be able to launch it harder. The bike looks cantered back if anything which isnt ideal. Also a couple more links in the chain will give longer wheelbase so launching can be even better. You may already have the 9 second bike with them mods!
