Just listened to them... Wow. Didn't expect the ear pummeling. I'm into them. Reminds me of young and into watain.. I mean young and in the way, they're like crust meets black metal. Anyway, been binge watching your stuff the last week, take care and keep making vids!

Hands down one of my favorites, hence the reason I ran into you last year at Deathfest. I have been lucky to have seen them about 10 times now. I have every vinyl issue and variation they have put out save a handful of very expensive ones. I have a huge collection of merch, posters setlists etc. I have met them and talked with them numerous times. Glad there back, just pissed they had a long break at there’s and John’s peak.

I didn't agree with Finn's takes on a lot of things like his opinion on sludge metal all sounding the same, some of them caught me off guard like his opinion on respecting nsbm for being honest to their style but he was an odd character for being as well known as he was despite his takes. I only watched his occasional metal videos really because I don't care for a lot of the other stuff he covered but he had a presence for better or for worse. I don't really know what to make of him now, I'm kind of indifferent about it.

Exactly why I can't really get into dream theater. The only song I could listen from start to finish is pull me under. I absolutely love the beginning of streams of consciousness but when the song changed, I usually just replay the part I like again.

It took me awhile to get into Agalloch few years ago, but they became one of my top favourite bands of all time! Don’t stop doing band’s history Wyatt! These are awesome analysis of band’s history. 🤘🏼💀

Great video. I grew up in Portland and always wondered about this band myself. I was so interested in the lore and remember asking around if anyone knew anything about Velvet Cocoon.

Found something more recently. One man project from Ohio I believe. Venomous Echoes - Writhing tomb amongst the stars. Might possibly be the most disturbing metal album I've ever listened to that isn't noise based. Its certainly up there, and worth a listen

Thank you for a long vid for my all time favorite forest elkened snowcore band! (this was a last fm tag back in the day lol) Heading from Czechia to UK this year, to see them on Fortress Festival, for the first time. I missed my shots back then and experienced that disheartening breakup and end of my dreams of seeing them live. But alas, here we are now... such a good thing they are playing again!

There is this artist called "Chaoscunt" whose albums are always deranged and often disturbing and his art is always motivated by the ideology he developed called "Edgetivism". It's another rabbithole you can dive if you are interested.
