Guys, the full minis are legally distinct. GW cant do anything about it because they depart too much from GWs minis, and thus dont infringe on copyright. There are tons of people who do these and are totally fine.

I'd honestly much prefer they made it even cheaper and deleted the battery, made it straight up USB powered instead. I have USB power everywhere. If need be, i can use a powerbank. This would completely eliminate any concern of it catching on fire while you aren't around to throw it out of the window. They also made a classic mistake in USB-C engineering where they forgot to give it the correct straps (configuration resistors) for USB-C to USB-C cable connected devices to recognise which way the power needs to flow. Nothing more than those are needed to receive standard 5V at 3A (15W), with higher voltages and powers it gets more complicated.

Any recommendations for a budget FDM 3D printer? First one What is the go to resin these days now? Haven't used my resin printer in a couple if years and back then was using water washable resin which I found to be a bit brittle so don't know whether to switch to alcohol washable or stick with water washable

Have used both this and the ABS LIKE water washable from SUNLU, will not be buying anything other brand EVER. use the regular for bases and terrain and ABS for minis

as a newbie who's currently only interested in printing pla, I'm very happy with the A1. That said, if I get into 3d printing in a bigger way, I could see upgrading to the p1s in the future, & give the a1 to a friend or family member. I'd be more tempted if we see a future upgrade to the p1s, particularly a version with the improved user interface & quick change hot end from the a1.

Good review. I have found that the color of the resin impacts the exposure time. Darker colored resins take longer to cure.

Yes, base coats were what I was thinking of in regards to these hand held compressors. I have a 25 litre tank that I fill free at a local gas station but I am getting so ancient I can't always make it up the hill to fill the tank with air. Don't get old. These are not the "golden years" but rather the high lead content pewter years with a gold plating exactly one atom deep.

I was looking at getting a light on Amazon (UK) for about £130. I ended up buying the way better Lucent light from Game Envy (CRI 95+, 1350 Lumens, 3500 to 6500K and 9 points of adjustment for it's 5x LED bars). Including shipping of about $50 from the US to UK it totalled at ~£107. Game Envy do the Lucent at $85 for one or two for $160. With shipping to the UK you could (if you wanted) get two Lucent for about £165. You're right with the Apple comparison too. This light seems to be overengineered, awkward and way overpriced 🤷‍♂ The plug is a 'Type C' often used in Europe, South America and Asia. Well known in the UK as a 'shaver plug'.

The airbrush is trash. The compressor is gold ! I swapped its airbrush with the entry level iwata neo…and went to heaven. Thin the Tamiya paint 50-50, and you’re good to go.

US plugs use flat pins, that looks to have round pins, which would be continental Europe and most of Asia, though I think Japan uses the flat two pins like the US does.

No info about the CRI of this thing? That is honestly the only thing I care about when buying a lamp, Color Rendering Index tells you how well the light can reproduce certain colors which heavily impacts how you perceive said colors (and your models) under that light. Also please keep Qi chargers out of my lamp stands 🙂 It’s very inefficient way to charge your phone, aka wastes alot of electricity, and I’ve stopped buying IKEA lamps purely because they including that useless feature in every single one of their lamps…

I'm seeing ABS prints off the A1 and as long as their not too big ...it's working :) as a side note you can get an enclosure for the A1 as well /w air filtration.

i also suggest dipping in IPA first to remove excess resin, as liquid resin is very slippery and cause you to accidentally drop the model or slip when you try to cut or peel.

1. I'm disappointed that you said the Rescale tree men were "... absolutely awesome" and not "treemendous" 😜 2. With Anvil Digital Forge, the coloured parts signify the multi-shells. In your 3D model program you can switch different parts on and off before saving the model exactly the way you want it. For example: if you see a mini you like but want it without the helmet, instead of having to find a different head, just 'switch off' the helmet and there's a fully sculpted head underneath. 3. Titan Forge have recently joined Thangs and to celebrate have put up 100 assorted STLs for free.

While the idea is to subscribe to a tribe/patreon and stay there and collect all the STL, it is moneywise not always doable to stay with all creators - sorry :( . So I got a bookmark list of creators I try to check every month if I really want this month release. Your video really helps in a) reminding me to check and b) discovering new artists. So while it may not generate immediatly new sales for them, it def adds people with interest to the creators. Your presentation really helps in showcasing the releases and getting some backgroundinformation beyond the obvious (proxying deepkin or sylvaneth anyone this month?), so please continue your great work, it is much appreciated!

Is this water washable or does it need IPA to clean it ? i have been using Elegoo water washable really liking it so far.

I like when creators make mixed bundles, but Ghamak’s are too mixed. Just do two factions. I really, really want his dwarves, but I am not interested in the rest. Paying for a subscription and only using less than 1/3 of the models is disappointing. Then to buy the models separately is more than a month’s subscription. Makes people like me feel overcharged either way.

Hi there. New watcher here. Thanks for the videos. I’d like to recommend Loot Studios for your next review. They have excellent minis which are released in 32mm and 75mm and do a monthly fantasy and sci-fi release. They are also just about to release an Arkham horror range.

I also was a bit annoyed by the power cable on the A1 Mini. I haven't flipped my mini over yet, but it should be rather easy to replace the cable if it ends up having a problem.
