I think my favorite thing to do in this game was just completely ruined the power scaling of this game by getting rainbow quality, fire, and ice flowers and going to the map where you get the fan and planting those rainbow flowers for more of them because of how early on it is, you can get this stuff you can just burn through a lot of enemies early game Until you get better stickers later on

I'd say the squirrel power up is distinct enough to be justified. The cape and toonuki are the pretty much the same except the cape feels more speedy when it flies, while the too nook feels more controlled. The propeller mushroom and box both shoot you up in a straight line and lets you hover for a bit. The carrot hardly lets you fly and is basically a glide. The squirrel is more of a precise platforming tool. It lets you wall cling, gives you an air boost, and lets you glide, not to mention the downright criminal height you can get with it in Mario Maker 2 in co-op.
