What paint did you use? Trying to figure out a good paint to use that will cover the spray foam and the metal support beams and will not flake? Any suggestions please? Thanks!

Rafael, I appreciate your video, but I wish you wouldn't ramble and cut out the extraneous dialogue such as going to Walmart and buying laundry detergent. It's not needed or relevant and makes the video longer.

Whoah! In a 115 volt circuit where you have black, white, green.... the GREEN wire is NOT another neutral! It is the GROUND WIRE! In the main electrical panel, the white wire, or neutral connects to the neutral bus. Then there is a "bonding screw" which is used to connect from the neutral bus to ground. Then there is a ground bar, already connected to the panel's steel box that is the ground. For sub panels to the main panel, the neutral IS NOT bonded to the box and is completely separate. If you connect your green ground wire to the neutral bus at any point, you are asking for trouble. You will also have problems with all of your GFI and Arc Fault breakers. This could be why the receptacles in your shop don't work. Generally, shops have ground fault receptacles OR a GFI breaker. If your ground wire is connected to your neutral bus, that's why it's not working. Find the name of your panel. Then go to the hardware store and buy yourself a ground bus bar for that brand of panel and install it to the metal panel. There may be small knockout holes already in the panel specifically for that bar! Then move all of your green ground wires from your neutral bus, to the ground bus. That may solve your problem! Good Luck! And thanks for the video on the tracker! :D

very old video so i doubt this will be seen but where did you connect the welders grounding clamp? i didnt see it anywhere in the video, i keep reading it has to be close to the placer youre welding but its not seen at all. I have the same exact issue on my blazer and will have to do the same thing here soon so I want to know exactly what to do before i start.
@AMetalWorksАй бұрын
You want the ground close so the short circuit from the weld doesn't travel through the vehicle electrical system and burn something up. I don't remember where I grounded it on this job. You're going to have to clean an area for the ground.

I was having no shifting issues on my 2001 740il. Decided to change fluid and filter with OEM ZF fluid and filter because I reached 93k miles. After the service, the transmission would downshift from 4th to 3rd and then go into overdrive randomly. Any ideas?

2x3 tube and 3 inch C-channel. I ended out reinforcing the c-channel because it was a little too flexible for my liking.

I've been working on my 98 pathfinder now for about a year. MY question is about the rear passenger side and the large space around the wheel well and the rear storage space. I thought I had fixed everything, but when I took it for inspection there was a gaping hole below the rear storage on the right from the rear . ALso what do you do to replace the rusty framework?
@tonyb77482 ай бұрын
I have these on an Chevy Avalanche and love them. Great for a wide array of slippery conditions. Work very well on the rear when the locked axle is engaged. It's like a slingshot our of whatever you were stuck in. Pro tip- bring a few cheap towels for traction when icy conditions are present. The fabric works great for an alternative to traction pads.

Can u do a video on the knock sensor for this engine I have one that keeps flooding out
@AMetalWorksАй бұрын
It's under the intake. You're unfortunately going to have to remove the intake to get to it. It's a real pain in the ass and some people try to relocate it as a result. I don't like how they do it. The location of the knock sensor is important. I actually need to do that job soon. I doubt I'll make a video about it.

Is there anywhere in sacramento ca I can get this done I am have the same issue with my 2002 Chevy Blazer LS and shops are trying to charge me $1400 to $2800 to fix.
@AMetalWorksАй бұрын
That's a reasonable price. I know it doesn't seem reasonable for the value of the vehicle but it is. You either learn to fix older vehicles yourself or you pay tons of money to have someone fix it for you.

We cannot get ours to function reliably and predictably to save our lives. We can dial it in pretty close but then it'll randomly do some wild spatter or something. Triple checked everything...just cannot make it do what our miller does.

Hopefully they've improved the MIG torch. My 275P welder came with a similar one. Heavy duty enough but the trigger switch on them is junk. It wasn't anything more than a spring loaded washer that when pressed, makes connection with a pair of contacts. The problem is the cheap "switch" loses contact intermittently which burns the wire back tand sticks it to the tip. Took a while to figure out what was going on. I ended up replacing the whole thing with a Tweco style gun and that fixed the problem.
@AMetalWorks6 ай бұрын
Not sure. The 24 torch that I put on my i-mig200 works great. It's not that old though. I just upgraded to that one and so far so good.

These things work ONLY IF the end of the wire you are looking for is DISCONNECTED from the circuit. It will act like an antenna in this case, otherwise its will send the signal down and fade away. So to find the end of the wire, i have no clue what to disconnect and from where.
