In retrospect we realize they have the same exact reliability issues. They suffer from the same overheating 90nm RSX alongside Tokin Capacitors that could use replacements. The E01 is no more reliable than the A01 in that regard. In your case your E01 simply had more steam left. There are a few guys out there who make the BC models into absolute machines. Computer Booter and Console King both do full refurbs and RSX Swaps that will make the console into brand new machines with many years of life and no issues to be expected. A01 is definitely more sought after due to the hardware compatibility. The fact that it literally has a PS2 inside of it is absolutely awesome.

I have the A01. I bought it used from a pawnshop in really good shape and have never cleaned it. It does get very hot and the fan sounds like a jet engine when it kicks on high which is quite often during extended play time. However, keeping it Vertical (standing up) With the right hand side vent facing up instead of having it Horizontal really makes a difference keeping it cooler because the heat flows up and out the top even though the fan pushes most of the air out the back vent.

there is a single timeline - and any change to the past changes his timeline, but for him. he doesn't remeber the new past only his original. so the marty from that timeline is different in personality but he goes off on a journey of his own. I need to address the reliability for both models in this video. Both CECHA01 and CECHE01 PS3s have a 90nm on both CPU and GPU which is the most common cause of the YLOD mostly caused by the BGA in the RSX, and most of the time the YLOD is caused by a BGA failure in the RSX.
