Guys. Its real. Ive seen it twice with a muzzleloader. Me several years ago and this year. I have reveal camera pics of a 8 point Vermont deer shot and dropped at 792 am last saturday of muzzloader. It got back up and left before my landowner friend could reload. I have pics of the same buck with the wound at the same foodplot less then 12 hours later!. It is a 100% accurate proof of no mans land

Really enjoyed this episode. I've only been hunting a few years and had my first experience with a miss this year. Came across a doe while scouting and wasn't as prepared as I should have been and was caught without my range finder. Misjudged the distance and missed her clean thankfully. Filed that in the lessons learned and now have a range finder with every trip in the woods. Even when not planning on taking a shot I will still try and improve my skills by estimating the distance then ranging it. I like to practice on actual deer so it is as consistent as possible. Congrats on a great buck Easton! Happy New year RHP and crew! Now that Easton is introducing his better half to hunting maybe a future episode with all the spouses or girlfriend talking about their experiences could be a cool episode too. As a bonus you could see who the better teacher is too. My money is on David.

Josh Bowmar has got the broadhead game down my big 9 I killed this year went through 2 ribs and the buck only ran 30 yards Needless to say my go to from now on is a victory arrow with a beast 2.3 with a raised nock with the switch on it the only way to go BEAST BROADHEADS AND RAISED NOCKS = DEADLY

My most memorable miss was the time i took a 50yrd shot at a stud 7pt. My arrow hit his antler and soared threw the air for about 200yards with a beautiful lighted knock to watch. It scared the deer so bad it ran 600yards across the field and got smoked on the highway by a car. Haha True story.. was crazy!!

Well, you guys have just excluded a crap load of people from hunting seasons and you have never hunted with a crossbow obviously. If you are looking to get into hunting dont listen to this crap. Absolute bull**** in this video. Going to block this channel from coming into my feed.

Quit spewing misinformation. I have a hard time believing you even looked at the Ashbey reports. All opinions very little facts. I’m very disappointed in the podcast.

This is dumb. If crossbows are not archery equipment, then what is it? It is a superior form of archery than verticle bows. It has advantages in nearly every category than uprights. Crossbows have been around since the 5th century in China. Oh, but they aren’t archery equipment. Ok. Your podcast should be titled, “Our little group doesn’t like the advantages of xbows over verticle bows.” I shoot both a trad recurve and an xbow. I love both. To advocate getting rid of xbows in the archery season will hurt the future of hunting. Xbows are the gateway weapon for children, women and late onset hunters. They also keep the older guys in the game longer. I sense your motives are selfish, and your arguments are weak.
@sound-flies4 күн бұрын
What a BS. You do not shoot a crossbow at 100 yrds. Zero chance that is happening. Deer will be long gone. Plus your compound plus a garmin scope is equal pretty much a cheat. Respect to the hunters with Longbows but stalking with a Crossbow is equally difficult as with a compound.

I'm really but to upset with CJ.... shouldn't have lied but idk he whole thing just doesn't make me upset. Why do yall want to assault him? I also dont really understand why yall and him to go to jail either? The read out his punishment and it seemed like he didn't get off lightly as well. I personally think it's too easy for someone who's never been to jail to send others. If they knew what it were really like then they would almost certainly sing a different tune. I'm looking coast to the new story I the first one sad entertaining for life 6 months and, it wasn't even real so so i damn sure want to know snag really happened!

You know we had the same problem when they legalize compound bows. They legalized compound bows. We were finding so many dead wounded deer in the mountains. Pathetic with that note. I am definitely definitely done listening to you guys. Have a nice freaking day.

I am really gonna have to stop listening to this bullshit and you guys not knowing what you’re talking about go to Walmart and check the price of a crossbow and you check how fast they go most of them go just around 300 ft./s you gotta get your information straight. Your information is not even close.

Most crossbow kills are under 30 yards. You guys better get your information right cause this is a really really bad and I used to like you guys. You guys have the crossbow so misunderstood it is pathetic. You still have side in the average crossbow only shoots 350 ft./s they’re not accurate for more than 50 yards or you can hit paper or make a hole in paper. You’re not gonna kill anything you guys do not have your information together not even close to what we had but we compared to keep compound bowsout of shooting in archery season. Your records are way way off.

OK, my big thing is I’ve been a boat hunt for years. I shot 44 deer with a recall shot shot more deer with recur than any other bow back when they first came out with compounds they did not want to leave compound funders in the Penn, Pennsylvania hunters Association and they did not want compound hunters hunting at the same time Now in the meantime I’ve had seven strokes. I’m parked paralyzed on my right side. I’m shooting a compound bow right now, but I don’t have a down to 30 pounds. I don’t have enough to kill a deer but I do have a crossbow just so I can still go out and enjoy archery season. That is my biggest concern. What you are going through right now with crossbows it’s the same thing we went through years ago with compounds they were trying to say that compounds weren’t legal because compounds were not an older weapon.

Great episode guys. Glad you liked the calls. This topic is a tricky one and there is no right answer. But, people need to understand that just because something is legal doesn't mean it is right. I struggle every year with this. I expect people to have the same morals and ethics as me, but I have to understand that not everyone grew up like I did. Also, on the public versus private issue. Coming from Pennsylvania most of the private gets just as much pressure as the public. But, if you put your time in you can still get on nice deer. Hope you all have a Happy New Year. God bless.

He's right, there are some public land that get insignificant pressure compared to others, to include private property.

Merry Christmas Fellas, here's my opinion. Everyone is paying, whether it's in sweat-equity or Benjamin's. We all watched Lee go to Ohio, the guy put in the legwork all summer longs, banging doors, offseason scouting, all of it. He outworked everyone in the area. Then you have guys like you guys, you put the work in for years on the same farms to get the mature bucks that you want to shoot. Then there are others who are paying their way to a nice buck. At the end of the day everyone is paying just in different forms of currency.

David, I understand your point, Your saying managing and owning your own property and raising your deer heard is different than someone hearing about a Huge deer and paying to go shoot it. I agree I wish there was a way to manage that or not let it happen, I also hear the side of, if someone has enough money to go pay for that deer, than why not let them do it. It’s something that I don’t believe is manageable. Anyway, I love the Podcast, as Always

Merry Christmas guys! Thanks for my sticker with the Christmas note with my podcast shirt! Is it too late to get a XXL? lol too many Christmas cookies! What it comes down to is “Money talks and people listen!” But whatever each of us can afford we just need to accept that others can afford different scenarios. The only thing I disagree with is when folks pay to hunt the high fence reserves and they call it hunting. It’s not hunting it’s target practice in live animals. Any way, paying to do a fair chase hunt is ok with me no matter the caliber of animal and cost (if one can afford it).
@buckydoedowner904010 күн бұрын
Im sure if your in the right line of the industry.. paying to kill those bucks could just be used as a tax write-off? Say if you run a youtube channel, and make $100k a year off of it. Paying 20-30k to kill a deer for content may be better than handing your money to uncle sam.
