It seems to me g4 is better all around tv, movies, gaming, and sports, where s90d is better in gaming segment, but not in other two. That doesn’t mean it’s a bad tv, far from it, top 3 OLED, just not as versatile as G4. A95L G4 S90D S95D (only because of the screen finish) Bravia 8 Just my take

Some things to consider for the A95L: - No native 1440p or 144hz support ✅ - No FreeSync ✅ - Only two HDMI 2.1 ports (1 of which is eArc) ✅ - Dim in game mode ✅ - Worse input lag ✅ - Very wide feet requiring a large entertainment center ✅ - Only a 1-year manufacturer warranty ✅ - Unreliable Dolby Vision implementation ✅ With gaming being the primary use for my TV, those things were deal breakers. I chose the G4.

@makaiokalahama Hey thank you for the comment and for checking out the video. Means allot. Yes i agree with allot of those. I do feel like.the overall brightness in game mode is not tue best. And I do not recommend the A95L if you are more of a competitive gamer because input lag will be noticeable. But if one were mostly to play casually or let's say an rpg gamer that just wants to enjoy the beauty of the picture the that the A95L provides in game mode, I would say it's definitely a treat. Game mode is not the best and it's disappointing as one would think they make the ps5 so why would they slack on there tvs? They should be paired best with together. I happen to think an LG g4 or Samsung qd oled would be better fit despite the fact that the ps5 auto hdr tone maps when initially connected via hdmi. Something i believe Sony is working on behind the scenes is a new processor as they are overdue for one and that's why I think they took a year off. They want to make sure that we as a consumer have no doubt that a Sony tv paired woth a Sony ps5 should be the only you would think should go. We will see

I have a dual 65 inch TV mount to hold 2 TVs but I still havent found good enough TV to add to the stack. I keep it at 65 inch since the TV drops in the back of the hatchback like nothing. right now Im leaning toward S90C what a beast for the price and size.

I wish it's DTM was more refined and yes it may not have as much color but the gaming menu is the best in the business and it is a beast with being able to pull more fine details out of an image. I do notice more color gradation compared to the Qd oled panel but only in certain situations. Like dark skies or dark scenes. Or isolated fires. Other then that I'm not really seeing loss of details in colors. Red I think is the biologist problem with a woled. B3cause even when turning up color. Red specifically starts to clip. In.Hdr 4k gaming particularly.

I watched the first couple minutes. The A95L blew the G4 out of the water in terms of detail especially in low lit areas. The G4 might have a higher peak brightness but I value contrast and detail more. In certain scenes You could see perfect detail in darker areas on the Sony and almost nothing on the G4. As much as I hate the op system on the Sony I'd still go for it over the G4 for picture realism and detail.

Although I think it depends on your primary use case, it may depend on what your personal preference is. I look.at it as your use to samsungs color science so I would probably go with a Samsung qd oled if I were you. But the actual processing of the LG G4 is definitely better. Especially in upscaling, motion, and it has a better overall customizable picture settings menu that you can fine tune if that is important to you. The highlight details and tone mapping i do think samsung personally is better though. All lg oled tvs are set to a very cold temperature and thats the case even on filmaker and cinema modes. Qd oleds are the opposite and run at a warm temperature. That is one main reasons it cant match a qd oleds color. However you can get close to the color of a samsung amoled phone by turning on the reduce blue light filters, stay on cinema mode, turning brightness off, setting it to gamma 2.4, reducing the brightness to 44, setting the temp to warm 50 and forcing bt2020 on sdr. Quantum tvs a95l imitation settings are the best ever, really got my c1 colors looking so rich, i compared it to my samsung phone so i know. Bro, on the A95L, you then set the settings incorrectly, the sharpness was 50 or 60 and the creation of the reality of the car, and you set 10, you can not do this, Lg is good, but there are direct tests in the correct settings and conditions and alas G4 did not win, but we hope Lg will get better. But Sony's realism has no equal, how the light really looks and the contrast, and how it gives brightness to certain places, Lg gives a plastic picture with a fake gloss, we don't see it with our eyes. And as the A95L builds depth and volume of the image, the G4 builds volume, but not depth, which is why it is #2 in terms of volume image, but it is cool for its money
@richardameen226
@richardameen226 8 күн бұрын
More color volume does not mean more accurate. The point is to have the tv display what was intended by the filmmaker or whatever it is. Plus there’s clarity, motion handling and brightness. It all plays a factor. Add in Samsungs panel lottery on add oleds. Samsungs screwing with firmware updates and poor quality control. No Dolby vision cause they have a stupid ax to grind. All reviewers seem to think the g4 is tops and don’t start with saying that they are paid shills either.

Totally agree. I had the C4 83 and was very disappointed. Tv was a hazy mess. But the processing was really flawless and honestly the overall experience. Bugg free, zero posterization, motion issues, HDMI CEC worked perdectly. It’s just the picture was so bad, especially DV. And you know I love LG and have been an LG user for 10 yrs, so I know how to set that tv to how I like. I’m hoping next yr LG does something about the hazy panels and their ridiculous MLA pricing because the G4 hasn’t had much of a sale all year and $5,400 for the 83 inch is disgusting. And I just don’t think any tv is worth more than $4k. It’s diminishing returns. Just like I’m not impressed with tvs larger than 77 inch. Not for the crazy price premiums of 83 inch tvs. I’m sticking with the S90C for another yr. The thing that holds that tv back is the poor processing. It just looks flat, uninspired and overly “yellow”. And it has agressive ABL. Anything below 1080p content doesn’t look particularly good.. Samsung has spent all yr hyping their 4K Upscaling chips, so I think next yr’s E series will finally have good processing. Also I don’t care what anyone says, I want DV. However DV has sucked in the last 2 yrs on every tv I tried.

@@doicenti9033 sure you can. There’s a difference between processing and whether the panel is at times hazy - especially the dolby vision. QD OLED wins. G4 appear brighter due to the white subpixel, however mixing in a ton of white into the color themselves is not the right way to go. LG should not chase a bright picture at all cost.... Preserve the color instead.... That is what i have come to love about QD OLED, the colors themselves is significant brighter than the WRGB technology... So you dont have to put in a 4th white pixel to try to boost the brightness with a big penalty to color preservation.
