The same method can be applied when making raisin/cinnamon swirl bread, (with or w/o raisins depending on your preference). I have an older video of that recipe too! It works great. Thanks for watching!

I just got that same machine, brand new. You have to teach me how to use it. I never made bread before. I am doing the banana bread now.
@helpfulnatural
@helpfulnatural 2 күн бұрын
Keep the user manual handy so you know how to load the baking pan and other adjustments that may come up. For the banana bread, make sure to test the loaf at the end of the cycle to see if it's done in the center. This is a very wet batter and can sometimes need a little more baking time. When the cycle beeps that it's done, use a toothpick or skewer and poke it into the center of the loaf. If it comes out clean, the loaf is done and can be removed from the pan. If the toothpick comes out with wet batter on it, it needs more baking time. To do that, leave the pan in the machine, reset it and use the "bake-only" cycle. You won't need the entire 1 hour cycle so be sure to test the bread again after 8 or 10 minutes. As soon as the toothpick comes out clean you can stop the machine and pull out the loaf. Hope this helps. 🙂

I made your recipe yesterday in my small Cusinart rice cooker and it came out perfectly and delicious. Thank you for sharing your recipe… I would also like to say I will adjust the dry mustard to 1/2 teaspoon just to much flavor for me. I would also like to caution other newbie rice cooker users when it begins to come to a rolling boil remove the lid until boiling process subsides then place lid back on. I had the boil up reach the lid and it is messy.

Yes, you can adjust the spice/flavor ingredients to your liking. You could also leave the dry mustard out altogether if it isn't something you like. I add it because it amps up the tanginess of the cheese just a bit. And yes, this isn't quite a 'set it and forget it' sort of recipe. It's always a good idea to check on it frequently to prevent boil-overs or scorching on the bottom. I'm glad you like the recipe. 🙂

Please help. I can hear the machine run, but the batter blade does not move. Can you please tell me how to make the batter blade work.
@helpfulnatural
@helpfulnatural 3 күн бұрын
Was it stuck before adding any ingredients to the pan? Also, did you remove the blade the last time you used the machine? If it was left in the pan when washing but not removed, there could be dough that got stuck underneath the blade and around the post, then was baked on during the baking cycle. The way I fixed this on one of my previous machines was to grab the blade with one hand, and grab the gear mechanism on the under side of the pan with the other hand. Twist the 2 pieces back and forth in opposite directions until the baked on dough cracks and releases the blade from the pan.

You could try googling the make/model # of your machine and find the user manual that way. You could print it off or just save the file. I've done that for many machines I've picked up at thrift shops.

Hi! May I know the reason you put half water and half milk instead of full milk?
@helpfulnatural
@helpfulnatural 9 күн бұрын
I add water because the rice cooker has no temperature control and always brings liquids to a boil. If using all milk, it could scorch/burn on the bottom before it's done cooking which would ruin the mixture. Hope this helps.

so no yeast? sorry i am new to this..
@helpfulnatural
@helpfulnatural 14 күн бұрын
That's correct, no yeast for quick breads. Quick breads are referred that way because they typically use baking powder instead of yeast which makes the entire process quicker. With yeast there is a lot more down time for one or more risings whereas this recipe is just mix and bake. Hope this helps. 🙂 Banana bread is a great recipe for starting out as it's easy to put together and it's delicious!

This is the same one I have. Which setting should I use for my percolator? 😊
@helpfulnatural
@helpfulnatural 23 күн бұрын
Percolators typically use a coarser grind setting. I would start near the right side (coarse grind) of the dial, then make adjustments from there to your liking. I use the coarsest setting for cold brew which works very well. Hope this helps.

@helpfulnatural
@helpfulnatural 23 күн бұрын
The only difference between this grinder and the Cuisinart DBM8 is the style of the burrs. Otherwise the settings are identical. (I have another video comparing the two grinders.) For percolators, start at the coarse end of the dial and make adjustments from there. Hope this helps.

@@zumbamac1 If your machine has a 'bake only' cycle, you can use it after the regular quick bread cycle is finished. Poke the center of the bread with a toothpick or skewer, if it comes out wet, reset your machine and use the bake only cycle to finish it off. You won't need the entire 1 hour cycle though so keep checking for doneness every 8-10 minutes and stop it when the loaf is done.
