Winter-Storm 2024--The Day After

This video shows the depth of snow we received during a 32+ hour long bomb-cyclone. It was 12-14" of wet & heavy snow. If you are in the path of this storm, stock up on supplies, charge your devices and stay warm and safe. Take care!

It looks magical in pictures but the snow from this storm was extremely heavy where we lost quite a few branches from our trees in the front yard. One tree in particular looks a bit sparse on one side due to all the breakage.

Gorgeous! I'm in Florida; however, your video is beautiful. I have a question as I watched your Oster videos from a few years ago. What is your current favorite blender? Still like/use Oster blenders?

Thankfully all the snow has melted over the past couple of weeks. 😀 It has been an extraordinarily mild winter so the snow mounds don't hang around as long as they used to. As for blenders, I still have my Oster blenders and they are working fine. However I went back to using a Vitamix when they came out with a stainless steel blending container. As much as I like the Oster Pro 1200, the company stopped supporting it with replacement parts. You can no longer buy replacement blades, gaskets, blending jars or lids, etc... I now only pull it out occasionally.

Thanks so much for your reply!! I just saw that the Oster website has links to other companies that supposedly have replacement parts for Oster blenders etc. I didn't check them out so I can't say what their inventory is...of course it depends on what type of blending one does..for example, Nutribullet has a good reputation for people interested in mainly smoothie-making.

Yes, all is fine. 😊 It took a while to melt after being frozen like a rock for a week an a half. I do still have my Oster Pro 1200 but don't use it all that much. Oster stopped supporting it with replacement parts so I shelved it in my basement and only pull it up occasionally. It still functions very well. I've gone back to using a Vitamix since they came out with an all stainless steel blending container a few years ago. Thanks for watching!

@@dacar4592 My model is the old Vitamix Total Nutrition Center 5000 in white. I found the motor base on ebay for $75 bucks and then I bought the stainless steel blending container on amazon. I use it every day. ☺
