Before closing up the little access port, I keep a little plastic ziplock bag with an A23 12 volt battery (smaller yet more powerful than your 9 volt battery) attached to a cable so I always have the battery ready to use.

This is silly. Why doesn’t the app auto unlatch as you get close? So drop everting and use your watch? It’s so dumb and it isn’t even free. Not useful

I just bought (1-30-25) a 2018 Model 3. Automatic wiper controls are for idiots who can't drive. The fact that there's so many videos and negative commentary shows it's a bad design. What exactly is wrong with a regular wiper setup like in a regular car? Nothing in my mind. What Tesla needs to do is offer a factory replacement for the turn signal stalk. The replacement stalk would offer exclusive full manual control of the wipers: OFF, variable DELAY, LOW, HIGH, press the end button for WASHER. I'm seriously thinking of figuring out how to do this myself. Looking online, some Ford F150 and GM turn signal stalks would do this. Exactly how to integrate this into a Model 3 is another story.

5 years later and Tesla wipers have only gotten worse. The most annoying thing with my Model 3 is the auto wipers and only 3 speed settings.

The fact that there's so much overall negative commentary about this shows that it's a bad design, period. I just bought a used 2018 Model 3 (1-30-25). The auto wipers are stupid. I'm seriously thinking of retrofitting a Ford or GM wiper/turn signal stalk to my 3 to solve the problem. What the is wrong with manual wiper controls? NOTHING!

Actually, the fact that the most annoying thing to you is the speed of the wipers is pretty darn impressive.

Thanks for the update! I picked up my Mod 3 LRAWD in August 24. My car before was 2012 Nissan Leaf with 55K miles when I sold it. It was down to 60 miles on a full charge so range anxiety is completely gone with this car. It's good to see they hold up so well if taken care of. Mine is garaged at home and work and with such little driving I might try to push this one to 15 years. Look at your frunk! I could fit my ex-wife in there! LMAO Seriously though, that's like twice the size of mine.

This installation is very difficult, I tried several times, and finally, when I was able to remove that plug and plug in the new hardware, well, guess what? There is no way I can plug it back in. So, 2 days tried to install this product and couldn't find a way to do it. So my advice, don't do it's not worth it. I will return this product and forget about it.

I have a 2021 Tesla model 3 SRP with about 60,000miles. Thank you for this. It helped me so far. I was able to charge my battery overnight and no error messages. If it comes back then I'll just take it to the Tesla center because it's still under warranty

One of the best Tesla videos I have seen! Clean explanation of what is going on and field tested the tire. Very clean communication on your part without a lot of stammering or “uhs” ! I cannot watch KZbin videos when the person cannot clearly articulate their thoughts!

You would think that if Tesla did a better paint job and got rid of body gap errors from the factory, they would save a lot of money and improve customer satisfaction. We'd better send "DOGE" to save them from wasting so much money!!

The problem is the batteries need firmware and OTA updates. This won't work if the battery is too low, also the problem will return if you don't update the software
@Isamu10132 ай бұрын
I want to throw this out here, please do not use the mileage indication in the vehicle to determine degradation, not even for an estimation. Tesla has done several changes to the algorithm with Software updates which in general reduced the range displayed. Either get a App to read out BMS data or perform a test (Though booth methods have limited accuracy as well)
@veerod3832 ай бұрын
It may look nice but you’re going to have to tag on an alignment for the additional negative camber and total toe you introduced when you lowered the vehicle. Your camber will be so out it will probably require additional investment in aftermarket adjustment components. If you chose not to invest in the latter it will reduce your tire life considerably and throw your whole efficiency story out the window.

I agree on the price of the performance. I almost went that route until I called my insurance and found out it was almost double and then the registration was more as well so for the additional cost of the car, the insurance and registration I decided not to do it.

Oh boy. I remember listening to this fool when I got my Tesla. Thank God I stopped pretty quickly. If you are a new Tesla owner, don't listen to his battery videos. He is absolutely clueless. His suggestions and Tesla suggestions will degrade your battery a lot. Your SOC doesn't equal your real capacity. You're probably way more than 15%. You're looking mostlikely at 18-19% because you let your car sit at high state of charge all the time. Panasonic batteries charge to 55% unless needed more and lg batteries to 60%.

My range recently took a dive. I drive 100 miles every few weeks and keep the car plugged into level 2 charger. It rains too much to use level 1 charger. Should I consider the level 1 anyway. 99% of the time my car is plugged and set to 80%. I just paid for a year of teslamate cloud, so I can see whats up. Battery health test is on my schedule for next weekend. Thanks for sharing the video, I thought about calibration. Seems like I lost a good 50 miles of range. 55k total miles M3P.

some companies sell a jack with the puck attached seems safer and more convenient, as far as the car being to low, carry a couple pieces of 3/4 plywood to run the tire over and raise the car.
