Thank you for sharing this option for Model S. Where I live, there are lots of speed bumps and pot holes so I probably wont do this. Glad to see that people are creating something for improving their cars.

When you put them on does that mean you have to have it in the lowest setting? Since your saying there's a lot of pot holes I am wondering do you need to keep it at its lowest setting when they are on? Or if they are on can you so raise you car to mid Level afterwords while they are still on? If so then I don't e the issue of you can just adjust it on the inside app for the airbags.

Very good video! I just installed the RSX-3s on my Model S Plaid, and your video was a great help! Only thing possibly to make it better would be to show how to adjust the RSX-3 settings while on the car (something N2itive says can be done. "There is no need to remove the links and go back and re-adjust with a caliper as with most adjustable links")

Looks great! I just brought a set and will put them on this weekend. I had the 21 rims but switched to 2O rims square. I also purchased the toe arms from them to address the negative camber. I was going through tires which can get expensive.

@Frugal Tesla Guy Seems like most everybody who commented here is like over 60 or not into cars. Car people will always modify their cars in some way and you don’t have to be a “kid” to do it. It looks so much better lowered and the new wheels look good too.

I might consider it. I am waiting for my VIN on my ultra red Model S Plaid. Was happy to see how beautiful the color looked in your video.

Follow up question.... As I wait for a delivery date I wonder if you also had the "estimated delivery date" change often. In my case, it has changed 6 times since ordering on October 31

It may look nice but you’re going to have to tag on an alignment for the additional negative camber and total toe you introduced when you lowered the vehicle. Your camber will be so out it will probably require additional investment in aftermarket adjustment components. If you chose not to invest in the latter it will reduce your tire life considerably and throw your whole efficiency story out the window.

Will F up the rear tires very quickly as Camber becomes negative as you lower the car

This is the comment I was looking for, so Ntuitive sells camber arms now to fix that issue…was looking for a video of that

Yes the reason why I didn’t do that as well. The lower it is the camber will get more negative. Then you have to buy the control arms compensate which is more dollar to spend

Interesting. I might consider them if there was a design that would lower the lowest setting for highway efficiency without lowering, especially the extra high setting. I need that to clear some obstacles and to make entry and exit easier for some of my frequent passengers. Unfortunately I believe that simple physics makes such a combination impossible.

First world problems, here I am looking for a way to get my Model 3 higher to drive in Mexico, speed bumps are crazy high. 😗

Anyone know if after putting them on you need to keep it that low at all times? Or does it still allow you to raise it up some with the inside display app to raise your airbags? If so then i don't see absolutely no reason not to do it b since there is only benefits in many ways and still able to lift it with the settings, if anyone knows please let me know.

He has the suspension on the "Low" settings. I have the same setup with 7 in the front and 9 in the rear. My user profile has the suspension set in LOW as a default. I created a GUEST profile with the suspension set at Medium and the car raises up to almost stock height. You can go up to VERY HIGH and it will be set over an inch higher than stock.

You never gte 400 out of the plaid model S, Its an automatic drop from 400 ish to 359, you go with 21s and it drops to 320. Tesla has since had to come clean about this.. So they have updated the website to reflect this.

The new 21” wheels are nice but if it was my Model S, I would not do the lowering kit, seems unnecessary. But to each their own. 😎

It's probably a bad idea, lots of lower front bumper damage, curb damage to doors when opening on a street, etc.

Of course, with it lowered further than stock you risk even more dragging the nose of the car on curbs, dips, etc. I've already done that twice and cringe still just thinking about it. The bronze wheels are pretty cool, but not cool enough to lose 12 percent of my range.

Yes the car looks good, But best not to mess with it, remember your not a kid, what are you going to to next put tacky light underneath

The S has enough oddities - problems, if you like - I wouldn’t add LL to create one more. The car is designed as-is if I need another look I’ll buy another brand car. My 2 cents.
