We’re on our 12th year of AO, though I have used it more as a jumping- off point than as-written as my children have gotten older. I hope you find it as wonderful as we have.💕

We have used this curriculum since level K. I am researching a bit before I purchase for level 3. Watching your review, i think I will stick to it. My son learned to read on it so I know it is working well for him. I love that it is an all encompassing curriculum, where you dont need to pull too many other parts for language arts. We may see how writing is going as up to level 2, there was less focus on that and more on reading. He takes out 10 chapter books every 2-3 weeks from library and enjoys reading. On the other hand he does not enjoy writing at all. I may supplement if necessary. I love this new look and structure, excited to begin! Thank you for this video.

I'm so surprised AO recommends Trial and Triumph for Year 1. I just read it to my Form 2 kids and it's very graphic and intense.

Speaking of inventing the telephone, it's not who you think. It's actually Antonio Meucci. This is the sort of thing you can learn alongside your child while home educating! Because you have choices and can reference various curricula and perspectives and the most up to date content. Great video!
