I have been a History professor for 25 years. The best students I had were homeschooled. They generally more prepared, more eager to learn and better adjusted. It's one of the reasons I put all my lectures on KZbin. As a free resource to help homeschoolers.

I love what you have done with your planning and arrangement of World Studies. As a very new home ed mother, i've been anxious to get on with maths and English, with little to no coverage of other subjects - even our bible reading has been breezed over. Your videos give me insight to how our learning could incorporate more in a fun, practical way. Yesterday i took my children to a nearby skate park during school hours, and it was empty. We now weekly visit our library; when they were registered in school i never took them. Now i love it, i have an app on my phone to manage our loans and books ordered in. Such an exciting world is opening up to me, which i hadn't anticipated, praise God for it all! Thank you Blossom Schoolhouse ❤

I really enjoyed this video as I have been feeing the same way; I just couldn't get my head around where to start with history and geography. I have been reading a lot about Charlotte Mason and her philosophy and have come across some of the same books you shared in this video. I like the idea of having one book to record all of my daughter's learning in as it can become so overwhelming. I also love the notion of learning through stories as it's more engaging and accessible for children, and then note booking their learning is such a fun way to record it all. I really like your idea of having fun stickers of world flags, maps and landmarks, etc to add to the notebook! I will definitely be utilising this idea. Your channel is always such a help and inspiration! Thank you

Oh it’s so nice to hear you feel the same way and this video helped! It can all be so overwhelming but really and truly reading books is the way to a child’s heart isn’t it! ❤️

I don't separate history and social studies either. I call them "topics of interest" to learn about the world we inherited, dwell in, and will leave behind to future generations. So we read lots, ask lots of questions, and explore a lot together.

Such a great video, and so timely for us. I've just sort of started making up my own geography/world curriculum where we learn about each country where they hold a F1 Grand Prix, as we follow the season along.🏎 Only 2 races/countries in, but it's been great so far. Loving some of the resources you have gathered here :)
