The ink stained fingers are a feature, not a bug. They suit you and the common corner perfectly.

Apologies for the late reply. I was knees deep in exam mode at the time, but your comment warmed my heart and I have it written down in my commonplace book 💌

Ah!! Yet another amazing video, thank you for sharing. I am so happy to see you enjoying your fountain pen. The kaweco sports are great pens, really comfy and so light. I will bring you a Uniball one pen to try for your pen experiment. They are a favourite for lots of people with hobonichi. Can’t wait to finally meet you this weekend! Best of luck with your exam on Friday! You got this! X

Yay! I use the Kaweco Pearl Black ink in the Kaweco Sport pens I have. I have some of the small pocket pens from other manufacturers. Another ink I will use is the Oxford Blue ink cartridges from Diamine. I hope you continue on your fountain pen journey. There is so very much more.

I have indeed continued on this journey and I dont think there will be an end~ as my partner says, when writing with one, it seems like there is a 'pen god' inside of the fountain pen, that makes the experience so brilliant! 💌

Thank you for your video! I'm so happy for you that you are enjoying your first fountain pen. I'm really curious to see what you come back with after stationary fest. My favorite pen is a Pilot Vanishing Point in extra fine. I tend to write very small and the extra fine is perfect for that. I love looking through the pages of your commonplace book and your Hobonichi dailies. I wish you success on your exam week, and look forward to your next video!

That Pilot pen is next on my wish list! I'm glad to hear it comes in .

I love it. I’d been needing a really fine non but everything I tried was still really thick until the vanishing point. There’s such a huge difference in extra fine Japanese pens versus extra fine western nibs.
@TheCommonCorner4 ай бұрын
Hi there~ thank you so much for your kind words.💌 And I have been researching into different nibs~ so fun! I am really looking forward to trying out an EF nib as I enjoy a thin line as well, I currently have an M nib on my new Kaweco (which I got second hand) and I am slightly struggling with it. 😄 Ill keep you updated on my journey.

If you get a blunt tip syringe, you can clean out the cartridge and then syringe fill the old cartridge with the ink of your choice, and pop the cartridge back on.
@christinebainbridge23545 ай бұрын
Just make sure you get an ink for fountain pens. There are also water resistant fountain pen inks.

Apologies about the late response~ your words have been noted down in my fountain pen related commonplace pages ☺️

I used fountain pens in school and when I had to write a lot, I had to change the cartridge about every two weeks. They are suprisingly longlasting those little cartridges 😊 I have Kawecos myself and after growing up with Lamy I enjoy Kaweco a lot more. The nibs are smooth, love the feeling in my Hobonichi. Kaweco also has converter for the sport pens if you are interested in getting into fancy inks ❤
@TheCommonCorner4 ай бұрын
I have now gotten a converter! And I am having so much fun with ink samples that I received from a friend. Kaweco is the one for me, I think 😁☀️

The ink-stained fingers are how we fountain pen enthusiasts spot each other in the wild. 😉 Having said that, a pumice stone and warm water will take care of it, if need be.

Also, I think The Common Pen's colour's official name is "Bordeaux."
@TheCommonCorner5 ай бұрын
Dear KJ~ Ah thank you for your wonderful tip (I shall use it in case I get less fond of the ink stains~I need the others to spot me indeed!) 🌟 And Bordeaux! Such a beautiful colour name~ will write it down🌬️

@@TheCommonCornerYou inspired me to write with my Kaweco Classic Sport, but I can’t find it. Hoping it’s just at the bottom of my pen drawer, because it wasn’t in my cases.

I might be the only person in the world who isn't sold on Kaweco. Other than the sports, I find they track and are really finicky with how they need to be held for a perfect distribution of ink. I also don't like them when they're short (cap off) and hate the weight with the cap on. Kaweco was also my first introduction into fountain pens and I waited many years before getting more. I have loved my Pilots and just recently I got a Montegrappa! It's a deep hole to fall into -- enjoy the ride.

If you know an artisan whose medium is resin, completing the other side in a resin would be lovely, but I know you've said you're set on a new marble circular table in your new home.

I’m not a fan of gel pens in the hobonichi. I like fineliners a lot.
