I was stationed in Germany in the 1970s and still remember how grateful I was for Sammy's kindness because he significantly lowered performance ticket prices for US military in the area. As i recall he had been stationed in Germany himself years before & remembered who he was. I was floored by the breadth of his talent: performing in person he was in his element. If you are listening to this through a good surround sound, everything is incredible. The band went all the way to Germany and the sound mix is incredible. The television production. But most of all if you listen to Sammy's voice and his natural skill on stage, it says it all. This is perfect entertainment right here in my home three days before Christmas 2024. I grew up in the best era for music period. Nothing these days comes close.

I must have been 4, maybe 5, when I first remember this song in my life. I'd be broken each time, crushed to my very little angelic soul...and my Mom would reprimand me for crying. She just didn't get it. The value of a life. She just didn't understand. I still cry. To my very old and not so pur but still wholesome soul. Please forgive me for all I couldn't do to change the world.
