The greatest entertainer of the 20th Century and the last! There are no entertainers anymore. Sam you could sing, dance, act and do the greatest impressions ever! You didn't need to yell and take off your clothes and have fire and smoke on the stage or anybody else for that matter. All you needed was the band. Thank You Sam for the pleasure of your company.

@wilfredojrpadilla3669. Then you absolutely have to hear him sing Don’t Get Around Much Anymore. The version from his album Sammy Swings with Duke Ellington and the Duke Ellington Orchestra. How can a guy sing like that who smokes? Not only smokes, but he’s juggling a lit cigarette with the mic while snapping his fingers and singing. And his mic technique is fantastic. The mic indicates just how powerful his voice is. When a guy like this sings, he wants the sound of his loud notes - loud notes sound more intense than soft notes aside from the loudness itself - but he doesn’t want to blast the audience into next week, so he pulls the mic away from his mic for the loud notes. Look how far his mic goes and you can still hear him fine.
