Shout out from St. Joseph, MO! I love the reaction you both gave. The running joke here is you either love cherry mash or absolutely dislike them. :D

There are custom made vacuum tubes with transistors to emulating certain characteristics of certain unobtainium real tubes. So... technically, Austin is correct.

"1975 April 4 Company Bill Gates and Paul Allen founded Microsoft.[1] As a result of Microsoft's founding, Traf-O-Data became defunct. "1975 April 4 Products Microsoft released its first product which is called the Altair BASIC." And that is debatable - because essentially they bought Traf-O-Date and thus loosely the product became "part of their company" - However the first "real" Microsoft product is: "1981 August 12 Company IBM announces the release of the IBM Personal Computer, which becomes the dominant personal computer. As DOS was the only operating system available on the PC when it was introduced in New York City, this paves way to the future domination by the MS-DOS operating system.[3][4]" - after having bought the full rights QDOS in on July 27 that same year. Calling the Altair Basic the "first MS product" is kinda iffy - since it wasn't made by MS - just continued by them.

Every studio that closed, released talent back into the wild to make new game studios and more games. Microsoft just wasted a bunch of money for IP that they don't even have the teams to produce and maintain. This is why MS and Sony buying up all these game studios was just a massively bad choice on their ends.
