I would not ski, but I loved the manga room and Kai's reaction to it. The food looked so good it made me hungry lol. I would like that area just from the beauty and people there. It seems so fun even if you don't ski. Thanks for sharing! Loved how you two are good friends, and welcome Kai! Love your name and you seem so fun to hang out with! You genuinely got me to laugh.

I went there two years ago (2023 winter) and really liked it. The powder was incredible - and that is coming from someone who has zero ability to ski power XD I based myself in Morioka, taking the train to Tazawako station and then the bus to the resort. It was my first time learning the word "Ski Jo" XD I didn't get to go to Ani resort. Looking at the map, Ani has a very weird layout. It basically has one very long run down the mountain and another short run at the top and that's it XD

Fantastic camera work which really showed the beauty of the location. Hidden gem for skiers. Would love to spend a few days there! Already shared link with friends. ⛷ Great combination: Kai and Sarah. As @Sock-Puppet said, "Sarah's high energy combined with Kai's chill energy was simply amazing"!

I have to get to sleep but I must comment on the first few minutes of the video NOW! 1) Kai gesticulating at the car tire was hilarious 2) had to pause at regular Vs goofy and couldn't believe that's actually what it said 😂. And now I'm surprised that I'm left-handed and left-footed but my instinct for standing on a board is actually regular? I mean, I've never actually done it but still 😅

PS, a couple of train stations towards Akita, there is an Airbnb, that was advertised as being an old samurai house and also had a pair of Akita dogs. The owner took me and the dogs out for a walk, although I didn’t need to pee! 😅

The last time I was in Japan in Winter was 2016. Every other time has been Autumn or Spring. I've never been snowboarding (been a skateboarder my whole life) and always wanted to for the first time in Japan. As much as I love Hokkaido, I've always wanted to go somewhere with less crowds and more chill. I did think about Niigata or Akita, and honestly this has sealed the deal. Those slopes look amazing. Plus that Sushi platter would be devoured by me. I think I'm going to pencil Akita in for Winter 2025!

These Prices all seem pretty reasonable compared to my skiing trip to Austria last month. I guess there were not that many lifts around, you could have used with that ski pass like for example in Sölden, right? Would have been interesting to see the slopes on a map and the different difficulties. That view of the lake was stunning for sure, I'd live to make such an experience. Sadly, the flights are the expensive stuff and getting your Skiing Equipment over to Japan fills up the bags very well too, even without the Skis themselves.
@seerasan11 ай бұрын
Skiing in Japan is wayyy more affordable, especially compared to Australia which is soo pricey! They were a few ski lifts are this particular resort (Tazawako). Might be cheaper to hire rental ski gear than to bring yours over, or just your own bring boots instead of skis/poles etc.

Maybe I can convince my parents not to go to Austria anymore for skiing. Win-win situation as I see it. I can go to Japan, and they can go skiing... 😄

美人 (Bi-Jin) literally means Beautiful Person. But, as you guys already know, this word does never apply to men. So, 美人 means Beautiful Woman or Women. So, what is the difference between 美人 and 美女 (Bi-Jyo), which literally means Beautiful Woman or Beautiful Women? I think 美女 includes some nuances of sexual beauty, sexy or foxy, which 美人 doesn’t have. Instead 美人 includes some nuances of grace in it. However, please note that their differences in nuances are not so big.
