I am still looking for a video that explains this in my terms. This doesnt. It is too technical, moves much too fast, without explaining terms that I dont understand. Five videos later and I still have the same issues.

Sorry, I'm confused. Your video thumbnail & title say rafters, but you showed how to build trusses. And, do rafters need a ridge board? Thanks for anyone who can clarify.

Many different designs for each type of project are also included. For example, there are hundreds of designs kzbin.infoUgkxb2mhCug-GkCWrq69Ce2I0nM0D4QpxAqu for outdoor buildings, from small sheds all the way up to a complete stable. Choose whatever type of shed or storage house is right for you. Pick from fancy ones or more utilitarian designs.

From the start, Ryan was very helpful and is continuing to be helpful about his kzbin.infoUgkxGqOCINHE0Z0E5gxzSdNi9NWGugRY5Hm2 Plans . Also, they have answered all the questions I have asked & I got outstanding support from his My Shed Plans full package.

All this is well & good …. for the pro or even semi-pro builder. As for a backyard diy-er, with simple tools (not professional tools as seen & demonstrated here) this is quite daunting. Terminology used here are pro terms & vocab. No explanations - nada. This is not for the regular joe as you will only get frustrated & a bit lost. Who carries these kind of tools in their garage?

The diagonal measurements from corner to corner should be the same length, regardless if your floor is a square or rectangle shape.

As long as it's not located where water pools, then you should be fine. Just use a box and level it, then fill with stone by the cubic yard/ton from your local hardscape supply

I don't ever give undeserved compliments. This build allows those who might not understand a framing square an excellent method of building a square building and them using that square floor to template the rafters/ trusses. The only error I saw was the starter course of shingles not being cut back. I also always cover my entire eave starter with waterproof tape. Just excellent overall for all skill levels wanting to build a quality shed.

There are a lot of things wrong with this install. First- the drip edge should be space 1/4" to 1/2" off the fascia board so that the rain doesn't run down it and rot the board. Putting it right up against the fascia defeats the purpose of using it. Second, you should have put drip edge alone the rakes as well as the bottom edge. Third, your starter row is completely wrong. You are suppose to cut off the tabs, and slide the shingle down so that the tar strip is at the bottom so it holds the bottom of the first course of shingles in place. Turning the shingle upside down is just lazy and won't do anything to hold the first course in place properly. And while you mention using chalk lines to keep everything aligned- you didn't actually do that in the video.

Thank you for the great instructions you provide. I really enjoy your videos. However, I have a question. How do we weather proof the sides which back up against the back wall. I’m anchoring my shed to the wall of my house. I have a brick veneer house, but the concern would be the same regardless of it being weatherboard or brick veneer. My concern is when it rains directly in that area (back house wall) or when the wind pushes the rain in that direction, it will rot out the back wall. Does anyone here have any ideas or suggestions to deal with this? Thank you guys in advance 🙏
