I'm probably the same age as you. You swing the same hammer that my step dad swung when I did construction with him. You drive nails as well as he did also. Good work.

Excellent Video clip! Forgive me for the intrusion, I would appreciate your opinion. Have you considered - Mahorrla Wooden Paradise Method (Sure I saw it on Google)? It is a great exclusive guide for building better sheds and woodworking minus the normal expense. Ive heard some awesome things about it and my friend finally got cool results with it.

Why does the video start randomly in the middle of assembly?

Cheers for the Video clip! Sorry for the intrusion, I am interested in your opinion. Have you thought about - Mahorrla Wooden Paradise Method (Sure I saw it on Google)? It is a smashing exclusive product for building better sheds and woodworking without the hard work. Ive heard some pretty good things about it and my friend Sam at very last got excellent results with it.

why would you use composite deck boards when you have pressure-treated lumber making contact with the wet ground? might as well just make the whole thing PT since the framing will rot away in 5-10 years anyways...

The hardest and most important part of the work-scribing the angles-was left out. If he could have shown that it would have been much more useful.

cwilli1024 agreed. Especially given the sharp angles and beveled edges would have helped. This video looks super old though.

so there is no math in scribing, it is just tracing or copying the angle of the ground and angle the board attaches to the shed. basically hold the board 5-1/2 inches (height of 2x6 laid on the ground on it's side) higher than you want it to attach to the shed beside the shed and overlapping it, trace the line along the corner of the shed on the board. while still holding the board, lay a 2x6 on the ground and trace the along the top of the 2x4 where it goes through your board for the ramp stringer. Cut at the lines and copy for the other stringers. scribing is not the best method for this, though.

Any concerns on only using nails to attach to the header board? All the sheer weight being on the nails - no joist holders or beam support?

whats the heaviest thing youre going to be putting in the shed, a riding mower? I think the nails will be fine

The only important part is calculating the angles and how to do that. "screw the board to the shed and screw the planks down" is obvious and a waste of 2 minutes. Just don't get it.

I didn't hear a mention of using "Womanized" or "Pressure-Treated" lumber for the framing or ground plate. I expect that would be a requiremen for pieces in constant contact with the ground.

A very practical and easy step by step method for building a shed [Check Details Here⇒>plus.google.com/109305854848533008884/posts/2qkzY1DiTEW]. Ryan's shed plan have really made a mark in the world of wood works. This is very interesting!

so he just "scribes" them. for this you just hold the board where you want to attach it to the shed and draw the lines yourself parallel to the ground and the shed wall on your board. you could also lay a board on the ground to trace your line but then you need to hold your board the height of that board higher than where you want to attach it to the shed (you could also hold the board beside the shed so you can just trace along the shed corner)
