Ok. I've got a windows laptop. My Navicat is open. How do you download the EA Sports database? I downloaded it and it shows a lot of technobabble. What's next? Thanks.

Good video, just confusing that you have set columns as INT but set data in those columns as varchars

Adam whats with the jump in part 3? Have been trying for DAYS to spin up an instance and every single time I get the same error "Sorry, we encountered an error and were unable to complete your request Error ID: ad9760ef" so frustrating that i've made it to the final section but can't follow along and finish the reports. I guess i'll just switch to another BI tool because google cloud is so complicated for someone who's never used it or trying to follow along for the first time

Should at least Provide the “DataSet.xls” file at open source level in the description directly and not with the paid course material ….. so that at least school students can practice at their own pace though working professionals can buy the course

Thank you for sharing your experience, it sounds like you had a tough time at the hospital - 28 days! I had a similar diagnosis and procedure two years ago, it's really important to act fast as my cancer hadn't spread. A dark humour always helps, I'm stealing the semicolon line ;) - nice work 🤭 Keep positive and best wishes for the rest of your recovery.

Hi Adam! Thank you so much for the video! I would like to clarify why we can join the inventory and s2 on different keys (item_id and ing_id)? I thought we could only join tables with the same key.

I've got to say, I was a bit disappointed that I couldn't follow the tutorial all the way through to the end. I saw all of the positive comments and got excited, and even bought the data to follow along, which I did until the Looker part. At about 35:00, there is a huge jump, where the instructor explains that you should connect your database to an instance of MySQL in Looker. However, there is no explanation on how to do it. I tried setting it up by myself but was so lost. I was quite disappointed that I couldn't follow the tutorial from that point onwards. I think this was a good tutorial until that part, but IT IS NOT a Follow-Along type of tutorial, so keep that in mind!

Your videos are great, thanks so much. I guess if we want to upload a table directly, and not write all the fields manually, it would be possible too right? :)
@LearnBI10 күн бұрын
Yes, with the right tool. You would still need to check that all the fields have been assigned the correct data type.

Nice work, subscribed. I would recommend to include a coda: always insert a semi-colon at the end of every statement as a best practice. In some db client apps like DBeaver, you are highly, highly advised to always end your statement with a semi-colon: ; else if you accidentally hit the "play/execute" button on the sql query file, the app will attempt to execute each and every single statement until it hits one that ends with a semi-colon.

@@PatanSameena-ef5qd I'm sorry but I still don't understand the issue. Which CSV files? Did you purchase them from me? If so, when? Where are you trying to import them? What tool are you using? That error you mention makes no sense at all. You really just need to follow the instructions in the video and in the read me file you get with the download. My advice would be to start again.
